He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 702

Now Scarlett was genuinely lost. She bit down on the straw, studying the two men with open curiosity.

Soon, the dynamic grew even more ridiculous.

If Julian served her a dish, Stellan immediately matched it by pouring her a glass of milk.

If Julian handed her a napkin, Stellan was right there, softly warning her that her food was hot.

On the surface, they were the picture of polite camaraderie.

But beneath it all, the air crackled with electricity every time their eyes met. Neither was willing to yield an inch in their silent turf war.

After watching this bizarre tug-of-war for a while, Scarlett couldn't hold back anymore. She looked between them, thoroughly bewildered.

"Guys... what exactly are you doing this early in the morning?"

Julian and Stellan turned to her simultaneously, their eyes briefly locking.

The air in the dining room seemed to freeze for a second.

Then, in perfect unison, they replied with unsettlingly gentle tones, "Nothing. Just happy to see you enjoying your food."

Scarlett blinked. It was incredibly weird, but she supposed she couldn't exactly complain about being spoiled.

Just then, a baby's crisp cry drifted down from upstairs.

Scarlett perked up instantly, her maternal instincts kicking in as she pushed back her chair. "Dawn is awake!"

She hurried up the stairs.

Julian and Stellan exchanged a sharp look before simultaneously rising to their feet, trailing right behind her.

However, by the time they walked into the nursery, Scarlett had already scooped the baby into her arms, swaying gently and cooing to her.

Hearing them enter, she didn't turn around, simply saying over her shoulder, "By the way, if neither of you is busy, could you do me a favor?"

Both men halted, staring at her intently. "What kind of favor?"
