"Mr. Bishop?"
Yardley Flynn had entrusted the entire hotel booking process to his brother-in-law, Vincent Wallace. So where the hell did this "Mr. Bishop" come from?
He had explicitly told Vincent to handle the arrangements and that he would foot the bill. But now, some mysterious Mr. Bishop had swooped in, stealing the spotlight. Not only had this man secured the best rooms for Scarlett, Julian, and Stellan, but he had also relegated Yardley to a standard suite.
It was a blatant display of disrespect.
Yardley’s face darkened, his nostrils flaring with anger. For years, no matter where he traveled, he was always the VIP. Staying in the finest suites with the best views was his standard. Yet this Mr. Bishop clearly didn't take him seriously.
Stepping aside, Yardley pulled out his phone and dialed his brother-in-law.
The moment the call connected, he launched into an icy interrogation. "Vincent, what is going on? I told you to book my room. Why is this Mr. Bishop suddenly hijacking my plans?"
Before Vincent could answer, Yardley’s voice hardened. "You know my standards for business trips. I don't stay in anything less than a presidential suite. Do you know what the front desk just handed me? A keycard for a standard room! Who does this Mr. Bishop think he is? This is a complete insult."
Yardley naturally assumed this Mr. Bishop was just one of Vincent’s executives, someone delegated to handle the task.
Even through the phone, Yardley could hear the sheer reverence in his brother-in-law’s voice.
Gripping his phone, Yardley’s expression turned grim. But the moment he heard the words controlling shareholder of AM Capital, it was as if someone had grabbed him by the throat. He swallowed his pride and fell silent.
To the Flynn Group, AM Capital wasn't just an honored guest; they were the saviors pulling the company from the brink of ruin.
Aside from wanting to witness Scarlett’s moment of glory at the awards ceremony, Yardley had a secondary motive for coming to Country A. He wanted to sit down with the head of AM Capital to discuss their future business strategies. He was hoping that their initial five billion investment was just the beginning.
