He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 310

"Seb, please calm down. I'm fine," she murmured softly. "She's pregnant. Just let it go."

With that parting shot, she disappeared down the corridor.

It wasn't an attempt to calm him down; it was a calculated provocation.

She was explicitly reminding him that the only reason Helena was still breathing was because of the bastard in her stomach.

Lowering her gaze to hide her vicious calculations, Janetta couldn't help but wonder if Helena would even survive losing this baby.

As far as Janetta was concerned, the will was just a piece of paper.

The old man had only written it to protect Helena.

Once Helena was dead, the entire estate would default to Sebastian anyway.

The baby was just an excuse.

But the seeds of doubt had been planted, and that was enough for now.

Now that she was living under this roof, all she had to do was play the long game. The end result was inevitable.

Satisfied, she buried her sinister thoughts and continued her frail act.

The moment Janetta was gone, Sebastian advanced on Helena.

She didn't back away. "Are you going to hit me to avenge her?"

"You think you're worth the effort?" he sneered.

Suddenly, his hand shot out and clamped down hard on her pregnant belly.

"Don't!" she shrieked, her stoic facade shattering instantly.

She grabbed his arm with both hands, trying to pry his fingers away.

But her frantic strength was absolutely nothing compared to his.

He pressed down harder.

She gasped as her stomach instantly tightened, seizing in a brutal contraction.

The baby thrashed wildly inside her, kicking in terrified response to the crushing pressure.

Feeling the violent movements against his palm, his eyes darkened to pitch black.

"What do you think would happen if I forced this thing out of you right now, and made you watch it slowly die?" he whispered, measuring every agonizing syllable.

All the blood vanished from her face. "You can't do that!"
