He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 376

Janetta glanced down at the incoming call and quietly answered it.

"Ms. Ramirez, the baby's condition is currently stable. I have a feeling Mr. Hayes wants her to survive, not just stall until the equity transfer is complete," the man quickly relayed his assessment.

"Mr. Hayes gave the doctors strict orders to do everything in their power to keep her vital signs up and actually help her recover. He wants her well enough to meet the surgical criteria. After all, the older she gets, the higher the survival rate."

"Unless something unexpected happens during this time, like a sudden fever, then there will be nothing they can do to save her."

The operative finished his clinical report and waited for Janetta's response.

"What if I told you I want this baby to die quietly?" Janetta asked, her face completely blank, though her words were downright ruthless.

The man paused, stunned. "Ms. Ramirez, that..."

"Ten million dollars. Make sure she dies, and then you leave Riverton," Janetta enunciated every word clearly.

"Understood," the man replied.

Janetta ended the call.

In an instant, every trace of the conversation was wiped from her call log.

There was absolutely zero evidence left behind.

She stood rooted to the spot, completely motionless.

She knew better than anyone that she couldn't afford to wait.

If things kept dragging on, she would be the one losing control, not Helena.

Lowering her gaze, she hid her absolute ruthlessness perfectly.

The hospital room descended into a stifling silence.

Meanwhile, Sebastian had just stepped out into the hallway.

He saw his bodyguards sprinting frantically in his direction.

"Mr. Hayes, Julian Campbell is here," a bodyguard reported breathlessly.

Sebastian's expression immediately darkened.

The bodyguard continued, "He's forcing his way through, demanding to see Mrs. Hayes. We've managed to block him for now."

Before the man could even finish his sentence, Sebastian was already striding purposefully toward the commotion.

Sebastian knew exactly how explosive Julian's temper was.

These regular bodyguards were absolutely no match for him.

The bystanders held their breath in terror, no one daring to step in and stop them.

"Sebastian, when she insisted on being with you all those years ago, I should have dragged her away!"

"What the hell have you done to her!"

Julian was panting heavily, but he showed no signs of letting up on Sebastian.

His rage was aimed squarely at this man, erupting like a volcano.

"You took a vibrant, living woman and drove her until she's nothing but a half-dead ghost!"

Julian let out another bitter laugh.

Every punch landed harder than the last.

"If you despise her so much, why didn't you just let her go?"

"You hate her guts, but you refuse to divorce her and give her freedom! If you ask me, you're the one who deserves to die!"

Julian's fury only grew more explosive with every word.

Sebastian didn't say a single word in defense, but he certainly wasn't holding back his fists either.
