Janetta's fingernails dug brutally into her palms.
She wanted to storm in there, but she knew she would only humiliate herself in front of Riverton's elite.
The paparazzi, scenting a massive scandal, turned their cameras toward her.
She forced a flawless, confused smile. "Why is everyone looking at me? The men's room is out of order, but that shouldn't stop me from using the ladies' room, right?"
Giving a polite nod, she gracefully sidestepped the chaos.
Sensing the escalating disaster, Sebastian's Bodyguards finally stepped in, establishing a hard perimeter to block the press and guests from seeing inside.
Julian, his face a mask of lethal fury, stalked into the restroom.
He stepped over the shattered door, crossing the small entryway.
With every step he took, the sickening, wet sounds of the assault grew louder.
Inside the stall, Helena had nothing left to give.
She was completely limp, supported entirely by Sebastian's iron grip on her waist.
Her body had been through too much trauma recently to withstand his brutal stamina.
Sebastian felt her slipping out of consciousness, but the vicious, territorial beast inside him refused to stop.
"Sebastian... didn't you say you'd let me go? Why are you doing this?" she whispered, her voice incredibly weak.
"Until the papers are signed, you are mine," he growled low in his chest, driving the words into her.
A hollow, shattered smile touched her lips.
She couldn't fight him anymore.
The air in the stall grew thin and suffocating.
It felt as though she had finally crawled out of a pitch-black abyss, only to be effortlessly dragged right back down into hell.
Her body was giving out.
"Lena!" Julian's roar echoed from just outside the stall door, overlapping with his voice still broadcasting from the dropped phone.
