He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 483

Julian furrowed his brow.

She didn't offer an explanation.

She knew exactly how Janetta operated; the constant taunting was designed to provoke her into striking first.

If she took the bait, she would be dragged into an endless nightmare of consequences.

Every single encounter with that woman pushed her frayed nerves to their absolute limit.

She couldn't deny that those words had pierced straight through her armor.

The emotional turmoil she was trying to suppress bubbled dangerously close to the surface.

Her breathing grew shallow and rapid.

Julian sensed her escalating distress. "You're not in a good headspace right now. Let's go home."

"No. I have to see that girl," she insisted, her grip on his arm turning desperate.

He knew how stubborn she could be.

Realizing he couldn't talk her out of it, he finally relented.

Shortly after, they arrived at The Park right on time.

A few moments later, a young girl in a t-shirt and jeans approached them, looking barely twenty years old.

"Ms. Wallace," Rosalie greeted tentatively.

Helena offered a polite nod. "Hello."

But as Rosalie's gaze shifted to Julian, she visibly stiffened with apprehension.

"He's a friend. You don't need to worry," Helena reassured her gently.

The girl still looked terrified, refusing to utter a single word.

After a brief silence, Helena turned to Julian.

"Could you wait outside for me?" she asked softly.

He simply murmured an acknowledgment, offering no argument.
