He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 295

Nyssa quickly stepped forward to play the peacemaker. "Don't do this, Mr. Sewell. Please, calm down."

Shawn shot her a charming smile. "Don't be afraid, Nyssa. Anyone who bullies you is going to have to answer to me."

While they were talking, Ottilie abruptly grabbed Shawn's wrist and hooked her foot behind his ankle.

Using his own momentum against him, she flipped herself back onto the solid path and kicked him squarely into the water.

Panicking, Shawn flailed wildly, instinctively grabbing onto Nyssa. The two of them plunged into the lotus pond together.

"I can't swim!" Shawn screamed.

When someone who can't swim falls into deep water, they cling desperately to the first thing they can grab.

Nyssa, who was a strong swimmer, instantly became his lifeline.

He ruthlessly shoved her under the water to keep his own head above the surface so he could breathe.

Ottilie leaned back against a willow tree, watching as Shawn's supposed "deep devotion" transformed into a literal death sentence.

If this was true love, nobody needed it.

Just then, Winnie came sprinting over from a distance. "Someone fell in! Help! Someone fell in the water!"

Her screams drew the attention of everyone nearby.

The guards quickly scrambled down and fished the two of them out.

Shawn coughed up a few mouthfuls of water, perfectly fine.

But Nyssa had been held underwater too long. Unable to breathe, she had fallen unconscious.

"Quick, give Ms. Tarrant CPR!" Winnie shouted.

None of the bodyguards dared to step forward.

Seeing his golden opportunity, Shawn immediately volunteered. "I'll do it!"

He rushed over and planted both hands squarely on Nyssa's chest.

It was a blatant excuse to grope her; there was nothing professional about his supposed rescue attempt.

Yorath arrived on the scene and pulled Ottilie to his side. "How did they fall in?"

"I didn't fall. She did."

Just as Ottilie spoke, Winnie cried out in relief, "Ms. Tarrant is awake!"
