He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 302

Ottilie read it without much reaction.

She had known the answer for a long time.

Yorath looked at it, his expression completely unreadable.

He only glanced at Ottilie several times.

Finally, he turned to Heath and said, “If you want Nyssa Tarrant, pay her termination fee. As for the photos and videos, if I see them anywhere on the internet, regardless of who leaks them, I will take your life.”

With that, he looked down at Ottilie. “Let's go.”

“I'd like to have a private word with Heath,” Ottilie said.

When there was no response from the man behind her, she turned to look at Yorath.

He was looking back at her, his gaze deep and unfathomable.

“Can I?” Ottilie asked.

“Yes. Take as much time as you need. I'll wait for you outside.” Yorath leaned down to press a kiss to her forehead, shot Heath a warning look, and walked out.

Looking like a victorious general, Heath smugly watched Yorath's retreating back. “Be a dear and close the door tightly for us, Mr. Fordham.”

The veins on Yorath's hand bulged as he gripped the handle, exerting enough force to practically crush it.

Yet the sound of the door closing was incredibly soft.

Heath turned to Ottilie. “You saw it with your own eyes. The people who set you up and ruined you were all from the Fordham family. If Quentin leaked your videos for money, there are only two possibilities. First, you mean absolutely nothing to Yorath, and that's how he talks about you to his family. Second, Yorath tacitly approved it himself.”

“And now they're trying to frame me for it. I'm completely innocent.”

Heath frowned in mock distress. “Think about it. Who is Nyssa to Yorath? She's his mentor's daughter. They've known each other forever, and whatever was going to happen between them already has. How can you be so sure he isn't just trying to make you a laughingstock to please his little sweetheart?”

Ottilie sat rigidly in the chair, her face devoid of emotion.

She waited until Heath had completely finished speaking before replying, “I know.”

“You know what? You know Yorath doesn't love you? You know his marriage to you is just a sick game, and the second you change your mind and fall in love with him, he'll toss you aside? By then, you won't be young anymore, you won't have any capital—how will you ever make a comeback?”

Heath stared at her soft, plump lips, his Adam's apple bobbing.
