He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 310

“As long as you admit you did it, that's all that matters. What virus did you use? Where is the antidote?”

Yorath's tone was completely flat, devoid of any fluctuation.

He still maintained the perfect image of an elegant, poised gentleman.

Seeing him like this, Winnie assumed he was toothless and spat back arrogantly, “I want Ottilie dead. You want the antidote? Dream on.”

Yorath gave Yvonne a subtle signal.

Yvonne and the bodyguards seized Winnie and dragged her down into the basement.

The rough, un-tiled concrete floor viciously scraped the skin off Winnie's arms and legs.

“Pry her mouth open and shove this in,” Yorath ordered.

He was holding a glowing, red-hot iron rod.

Yvonne took it without a flinch, clamped a vicious grip around Winnie's jaw, and moved to shove it inside.

Winnie shrieked in absolute terror. “I found the packet! It belonged to Ms. Tarrant!”

“Which Ms. Tarrant?” Yvonne demanded sharply.

“Nyssa Tarrant! I saw her throw it into the pond in the garden that day, so I fished it out!”

Winnie was drenched in a cold sweat, her entire body shaking violently.

All her bold, defiant declarations to Nyssa about taking this secret to her grave completely vanished.

Just feeling the blistering heat radiating off the iron rod had scared half the life out of her.

“Keep her locked up for now,” Yorath ordered.

He turned and headed upstairs, running right into Nyssa in the living room.

Nyssa was accompanied by Kendrick Walden, carrying a pristine basket of fruit.

She ran right into Yorath as soon as she walked through the door.

Feigning mild surprise, she offered a soft smile. “Yorath, are you heading out?”

Yorath gave a curt nod. “What do you want?”

“I heard Ms. Sewell was sick. It just so happens I know a doctor—a top specialist in virology. I came to see if you needed any help. If so, I can have him go to the hospital right away to examine her.”
