He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 314

After receiving Nyssa's medicine, Ottilie's condition rapidly improved.

She woke up within two hours.

Yorath was ecstatic, refusing to leave her bedside for even a second as he fussed over her every need.

Ottilie felt like she had been asleep for an eternity. Her mind was foggy, making it hard to think straight.

During her feverish haze, amidst every frantic resuscitation, she had caught fragmented snippets of the doctors' conversations.

She knew she was critically ill, and her odds of survival were grim.

Waking up to see Yorath hovering over her made it difficult to tell if this was reality or a lingering dream.

"Tilly, can you hear me?"

Ottilie gave a slight nod.

"Are you hungry?" Yorath asked softly. "Do you want something to eat? Does anything hurt?"

"I'm not hungry. I just feel so sticky and sweaty. I want to take a shower."

She tried to sit up, only to realize she was restrained once again.

Yorath gently pressed her back down. "Don't move around too much. You can't take a shower right now, and since you're uncomfortable, a sponge bath with a wet towel isn't safe yet either. I'll change you into some clean clothes instead."

The clothes were brought from her own closet—soft, pure cotton that had been sterilized before being brought into the room.

Ottilie tried to push herself up again but had absolutely no strength left.

Yorath supported her gently, letting her lean against his chest. "I'll change you. Just stay still."

She finally stopped fighting him.

Yorath unbuttoned her top, exposing the young woman's beautiful body to the cool air.

She looked like a masterfully sculpted statue, elegantly slender and flawless to the touch.

Her pores were open, dotted with a fine layer of sweat.

She radiated an effortless allure, an indescribable temptation.

Yorath's body pulled taut as a bowstring. Taking a dry, soft towel, he carefully dabbed the sweat from her skin before gently easing her into the fresh clothes.

Even after changing her, he kept his arms wrapped securely around her. "Tilly, how are you feeling now?"
