As soon as he walked in, he called out, "Ottilie, I'm here to apologize. I've offended you in the past, but please be the bigger person and let it go. Just this once, for my brother's sake."
With that, he walked right up to her and offered a massive bouquet of carnations with both hands.
He bowed deeply, his attitude appearing completely sincere.
Marcella stood off to the side, watching the whole scene unfold without saying a word.
Ottilie knew that given the situation, any sensible woman who wanted to spend the rest of her life with Yorath—any woman who harbored even a shred of love for him—would brush this off and let bygones be bygones for the sake of their future.
But Ottilie had absolutely no desire to spend her life with him anymore.
She wasn't about to give anyone the satisfaction of saving face.
Just managing to coexist peacefully with Yorath in this marriage was already pushing her to her absolute limit.
Ottilie didn't curse or throw a tantrum.
Instead, she simply asked in a calm, even voice, "Did you enjoy the naked videos of me, Quentin?"
Just a few days ago, Yorath had promised her that he would get her justice, that he would make sure Quentin faced the law fairly and squarely.
Yet here Quentin was, strutting right in front of her just days later.
Trying to humiliate her.
If she wasn't going to have peace, then nobody else would either.
Her words made the blood drain from everyone's faces.
Ignoring their reactions, Ottilie continued, "Who did you sell my videos to? Is there a copy on the dark web? Do my fans have them? You'd better hold onto the originals. Once your brother turns me into an international superstar, those clips you have are going to be worth a fortune. You'll be swimming in money."
She gently placed her silverware down on the table and stood up, walking right up to her husband.
"You lied to me again, Yorath."
Before he could even open his mouth, she quickly bypassed them and headed straight for the door.
She walked fast, suddenly feeling like the hospital's air conditioning was freezing.
She was breaking out in a cold sweat, every pore seeping with a biting chill.
Even her hollowed-out heart felt like icy wind was tearing right through it.
"Tilly."
Just as she was about to step into the elevator, she heard him chasing after her.
She didn't look back, stepping straight inside and heading downstairs.
When she reached the hospital's main entrance, it was packed with a sea of people coming and going.
