He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 323

Heath shot Nyssa a dismissive glance.

Thinking about her prosthetic eye and the glaring slap mark on her face completely killed his appetite.

If he wanted a woman, the entertainment industry was overflowing with beauties.

"Sorry, I don't like disabled people."

Nyssa was so infuriated she nearly leaped out of her seat to curse him out.

But she held it in. "What a pity. I wouldn't sign with a company that discriminates against disabilities anyway."

With that, she stood up and commanded, "Kendrick, show our guest out."

Kendrick Walden walked over to him, bowing slightly. "Mr. Heath, this way, please."

Heath calmly maneuvered his electric wheelchair, rolling smoothly toward the exit.

"Kendrick, how many years were you Ottilie's assistant?"

"Three years." Kendrick kept his head down as he pushed the wheelchair from behind.

"Three years, together day and night. Do you know her well?"

"Not particularly well."

"I saw her on the news today, wandering around the hospital entrance in her pajamas, getting mobbed by crowds," Heath mused. "She looked delirious, far from healthy. I'm going to visit her. What's her favorite color? I'll wear it for her."

"Ms. Sewell likes the colors of the rainbow."

Kendrick thought to himself: I'll make your life miserable for upsetting Nyssa.

At the hospital.

The day after Ottilie's condition improved.

Marie arrived at the room carrying a stainless steel thermos.

She walked in and popped the lid open. "There's some hot bone broth inside. You need to eat more."

Ottilie had zero appetite. "Put it over there. I'll eat it when I'm hungry."

Her mother sighed heavily. "You get sick and don't even tell your family. I'm your own mother. Are you trying to cut ties with us entirely?"

Ottilie was already feeling awful, and having to deal with her family made her mood plummet even further.
