He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 324

Yorath had been standing, but the moment he saw Heath enter, he immediately took a seat on the edge of the bed.

His broad frame deliberately blocked half of Ottilie from view.

His expression was dark. "What do you want, Heath?"

Annoyed that his view was blocked, Heath masked his irritation with a polite facade.

"As a dedicated fan of Ms. Sewell for the past decade, I've come to check on my idol. Even if you forced her to marry you, you can't restrict her personal freedom."

"I am her boss and her manager," Yorath replied coldly. "I make the calls regarding everything she does. You are not welcome here. Now roll yourself out of my sight."

"She hasn't asked me to leave."

Heath rolled his chair right up next to Yorath, a sinister smirk curling his lips.

Leaning in, he whispered, "That day when she and I spoke privately, she asked me to have you killed. Did you know that?"

Yorath's dark eyes narrowed, and the hand resting casually on the bedsheet gave a slight twitch.

"Soren, see our guest out."

Soren had just returned from handling the hospital discharge paperwork and bumped straight into the scene.

He hurried from the hallway into the room. "Mr. Heath, this way, please."

Heath scoffed coldly. "You really are a loyal dog, Soren. You guard the door so well."

Soren remained perfectly composed. "If you have the time to bicker with a nobody like me, you'd be better off rushing home to check on your mother."

Before Heath could even process the warning, his phone buzzed.

It was his mother.

Instead of answering, he looked past Yorath to Ottilie. "I accept our agreement, Ms. Sewell. Once it's done, you'd better fulfill my long-standing wish."

She didn't utter a single word.

Heath backed out of the room and finally answered the call in the hallway.

"Heath, come back quickly! Your father is going to kill me!"

Then came Eleanor's piercing scream.

The line went dead.

He tried calling back, but no one answered.

A bad feeling washed over him, and he frantically rushed out of the hospital.

Back in the room.

Ottilie sat against the headboard as Yorath stared at her, assessing her.

She remained entirely calm, completely devoid of any guilt.
