He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 329

Trembling with rage, Lorenzo pointed at his sons. "Fine! You've all grown up. You think you're untouchable now!"

He turned to Marcella, practically spitting the words. "Look at this! Look at the wonderful sons you raised!"

Marcella snapped out of her daze and yelled, "What are you all doing? This is a family dinner! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"

She marched right up to Yorath. "If you want to have the police take Quentin away, you'll have to beat your old mother to death first! Otherwise, no matter who walks through those doors today, they are not taking my son!"

With that, she rushed over to Quentin and grabbed his hand tightly. "Don't be afraid. Mom will protect you."

Quentin forced his eyes to redden, looking like a wronged child.

"Mom, I'm so sorry. I was foolish, and I caused all this trouble. Both of my brothers want to punish me. I know I was wrong. Please, help me beg them for forgiveness."

Heartbroken for her youngest son, she comforted him immediately. "If they want to take you, they'll have to step over my dead body."

She tugged his arm, ready to pull him out of the room. "Come on, let's go back to your room and rest."

A man could conquer the world, but in front of his mother, he was always just a child.

Whatever she did was right, simply because she was his mother.

Neither Yorath nor Lyle dared to step in her way.

"Hold on a second," Ottilie's voice rang out clearly, cutting through the collective sigh of relief.

Marcella whipped around to glare at her, her eyes burning with pure hatred.

"I see exactly what you're doing, Ottilie. You married my son just to destroy our family. You want to pit father against son and brother against brother until we tear ourselves apart. I admit we wronged you, but even if you killed Quentin today, it won't erase the pain you suffered. We can't turn back time. So name your price. What do you want? I'll do whatever it takes to compensate you."

"I want true justice," she replied firmly. "I want the person who committed the crime to face the law."

She quickly pulled up the video on her phone. "You're a mother. I completely understand your desperate need to protect your child. But before you do that, maybe you should watch this first."

She hit play and turned the volume all the way up.
