He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 346

Ottilie didn't flinch. "What are you doing?"

Fabian knew perfectly well that men like Yorath and Jevon were ruthless predators completely devoid of empathy.

His only chance of survival was begging her.

"Ms. Sewell, please save me."

"Whatever it is, get up and speak. What are you doing on the floor?"

He refused to budge.

Yvonne stepped forward, hauled him to his feet, and poured him a cup of tea.

Clutching the cup, he sat stiffly on the couch, facing Ottilie, Yorath, and Jevon.

"Ms. Sewell, do you remember when you were attacked in the woods during that survival reality show?"

It was a major incident, yet Yorath hadn't investigated it further or questioned him about it.

He had always found that bizarre.

Of course, he had no idea she had been suffering from severe amnesia at the time.

Once she finally remembered, she just hadn't found the time to deal with it yet.

"I remember. It was Heath."

"I was hiding in the shadows that night, and I recorded the whole thing," Fabian admitted. "Do you remember hiding in the tree, almost getting caught, until someone threw a rock to distract them?"

She nodded.

"I threw that rock." He didn't dare drink his tea, sitting ramrod straight as sweat pooled in his palms.

"So, did you come here today for money? Or what exactly do you want for that footage?"

He shook his head vehemently. "I don't want money. I just want to live."

Putting the cup down, he walked over and dropped to his knees again.

This time, no one helped him up.
