Her Hidden Hero from the Unwritten Page novel Chapter 26

Maining Aphrodite: [I think he does.]

Melancholy Sweetie: [Why do you say that?]

Maining Aphrodite: [I went out to eat with some friends last time, and we happened to be sitting right next to Herbert and Quentin's table. Rhea was working there part-time.]

Long story short, Rhea got harassed by a customer, and Herbert played the hero and saved her.

Melancholy Sweetie: [Is that enough to tell?]

Maining Aphrodite: [Of course.]

Maining Aphrodite: [When a guy plays hero, he always has an ulterior motive.]

Half-believing her, Winona typed: [Alright then.]

She carefully recalled her past life. Rhea and Herbert hadn't actually gotten together until after graduation. As for when the sparks started flying, she really hadn't noticed.

The entire morning was filled with English and Literature classes, which Winona could barely tolerate.

It was just that she had been out of school for so long in her previous life that she had barely managed to sit still for the whole morning.

The bell for the end of class rang right on time at 11:30.

Melody, who was naturally very chummy, came over and looped her arm through Winona's. "Do you want to grab lunch at the cafeteria with me?"

"Let's go," Winona agreed.

Melody looked surprised. "Aren't you eating with Samantha Barlow and her friends?"

"We had a falling out," Winona replied smoothly.

She and Samantha had grown up together and were supposedly best friends.

Unfortunately, she had been a poor judge of character. In her previous life, after the Lennox family fell from grace, Samantha's true colors came out.

The once sweet and friendly confidante had coldly chased her away, saying, "I've been sick of you for a long time. I've liked Herbert for years—did you really not see it?"

After being reborn this time, Winona carefully recalled the timeline.

She and Samantha had just had a disagreement over something last Friday.

In her past life, Winona had valued their friendship immensely, and after a week-long cold war, she was the one who swallowed her pride to make amends.
