Chapter 188
After the soul power transfer, Snow’s outline was noticeably brighter than before.
“Snow, do you feel a bit stronger now?” Lyra asked.
Snow lifted her hand, looking at her translucent fingers, and nodded. “I don’t feel like I’ll fall asleep as easily anymore.”
Lyra grinned. “That’s right. If I transfer soul power to you once a day, you’ll definitely keep getting stronger.
Snow looked at her, her lips trembling. “Thank you.”
“No need to be so polite. You’ve given us info and kept watch for us, and we never paid you a dime,” Lyra said.
Snow was taken aback for a moment, but didn’t reply.
Lyra waved at her. “Alright, we’re heading out. See you tomorrow!”
Snow watched them leave, their figures fading into the Wraith mist.
As the car rolled over the gravel road and just entered the base gates, Lyra spotted a small figure bouncing down the steps of the command building and running straight toward them.
“Goddess Lyra!” Lil Lily shouted, sprinting over and stopping right in front of the SUV.
Zoe slammed on the brakes.
Lyra pushed open the car door and jumped out. “Lil Lily!”
Lil Lily dove into her arms, nuzzling her head against Lyra. “Goddess Lyra! School’s out today! Tomorrow and the day after are weekends, so I can stay here!”
She looked up at Lyra, her eyes big and sparkling. “Goddess Lyra, I want to go hunt Wraiths with you!”
Lyra patted her head. “Sure, we could use the help.”
“Really?” Lil Lily perked up. I’ve got my die, my potions, my coin, I’m fully geared up!”
Lyra glanced at her bulging pockets stuffed with gear and chuckled. “Looks like you hauled your whole stash over.”
“Of course! If Goddess Lyra’s heading to the battlefield, I’m coming tool” Lil Lily declared.
Lyra was about to speak when she looked up and spotted Lana coming out of the command building, holding a folder.
“Lana?” Lyra blinked. “You’re here too?”
Lana walked up to her. “Yeah, I came with Lil Lily.”
She glanced toward the Invasion Zone. “You know, I haven’t actually been in there yet.”
Lyra caught on right away. “Thinking of heading in?”
Lana nodded. “I’ve been practicing Vital Flame Cultivation too, so I guess it’s time to test it out for real.”
Lana held out her hand, and a small flame flickered to life in the center of her palm.
Lil Lily peered at it. “Wow, Lana, your flame is bigger than mine!”

Chapter 188
Lana pulled her hand back and looked at the two of them. “We’ve been strategizing for so long, it’s about time we see some
real action.
Lyra didn’t object. The outer area was still pretty safe. “Alright, let’s head out together tomorrow. With Lil Lily here, it’s just right.”
She turned to Zoe. “Zoe, we’ll need to tweak the team for tomorrow.”
Zoe had already gotten out of the car and nodded. “I’ll take care of it.”
They headed toward the command building, chatting as they walked.
Lana flipped open the folder. “Let’s check the info. Here’s the nationwide training numbers for today, by five PM. more than four thousand people managed to unlock their Vital Flame.”
Lyra stopped in her tracks. “Over four thousand?”
“Yep, with over two hundred million people, there’s always some who catch on quick,” Lana replied.
Lil Lily couldn’t help but butt in. “What about the Alliance States? Has anyone over there managed to pull it off yet?”
Lana glanced at her. “Lina’s already awakened her Vital Flame.”
Lyra wasn’t surprised. “She knows Draconian culture inside out.”
Lana added, “Lydia and Sergei are catching up as fast as they can, but they still haven’t managed it.”
They all headed into the meeting room, and Lyra went over what had happened in the Invasion Zone over the past couple of days.
She said. “There’s a new breed of Level 2 Wraith, three eyes that go after your soul, a core in its chest, it can communicate, summon others, packs more energy, and the card soul has leveled up…”
Lana listened while flipping through Zoe’s notebook. When Lyra finished, she looked up. “Any luck with the memory card footage?
Zoe shook her head. “It’s with the tech team. The casing got badly crushed, so they’re still trying to salvage the data.”
“Give them a nudge, Lana said, handing the notebook back.
“Alright. Before we left, I put cameras all over the place. If the Invasion Zone acts the same at night as it does during the day, we can push forward way faster,” Zoe replied.
Lyra took a sip of water. “Hey, Lana, any news on the new weapons? Did Engineer Clark actually finish those soul power bullets?
Lana set her cup down. “The prototype’s done, but it’ll take some time to mass-produce. I brought two rounds today, go ahead and test them out.”
Lyra’s eyes lit up. “Two rounds is plenty. One for the chest, one for the head.”
Lil Lily was flipping through the photos Zoe had taken of the Level 2 Wraith, her frown getting deeper with every picture Finally, she slammed the photos down on the table.
“Goddess Lyra, this thing is seriously ugly,” Lil Lily complained.
“Yeah, it’s pretty hideous,” Lyra agreed. “Just keep your distance tomorrow, alright? Don’t get too close.”
Lil Lily shook her head right away. “No way, I’m coming with you!”
