Chapter 159 What Would You Do With Those Pictures?
Theo turned his head at the sound and saw Liana. He called out weakly, “Ma’am…”
“It’s me, sweetie. Did I wake you? Sorry,” Liana whispered, leaning down to stroke his cheek.
He was burning up.
“Ma’am, hug.” Theo said, his eyes fixed pleadingly on he
“Ahem. Ahem.”
Anya coughed from inside.
Theo’s small body immediately tensed. “No hug anymore,” he said abruptly.
A sharp pang of sorrow hit Liana. She glanced toward the inner room.
“Sleep now. She and I will both be here with you tonight” Elian said, his arm sliding around Liana’s shoulders as they both came into Theo’s line of sight, offering comfort.
Theo soon fell back asleep, though he shivered occasionally in his slumber.
Liana coldly shrugged off Elian’s hand from her shoulder and turned a frosty gaze on him.
She wanted to speak but didn’t want to disturb Theo. Besides, Anya was just in the next room.
She took out her phone, opened a note, and typed, “How old is Theo, really?”
“Three and a half,” Elian replied softly.
Liana’s heart clenched, and she looked at Theo again.
She had assumed a child under his care would be well-fed and comfortable, if not chubby, at least healthy.
I was right not to tell him about the baby.
I won’t let my child know they have a father like this until theyre eighteen.
Looking at Theo’s thin, frail little body, her eyes stung repeatedly, but she forced the tears back.
Yeah. No more tears over anything around him.
Only anger left.
But what could she actually do?
She couldn’t take care of two children.
And Elian would never let her have sole custody of Thee anyway.
I should just focus on my plans to go abroad. Forget everything else.
If I can get evidence, great. If not, I’ll just go through the legal process. It’ll just be slower.
I’m not in a hurry to remarry. The ones in a hurry will be him and Anya.

She and Elian sat in silence on the edge of Theo’s bed for a long time. It was so quiet she could hear the wind outside.
Elian watched her lowered lashes and opened his own phone, typing a few words, “Go sleep on the couch. for a bit?”
“I should be leaving,” Liana replied after a glance.
“Maybe if you stay a little longer, you’ll catch what you’re hoping to see?”
“You mean you’re going to screw her right in front of me and Theo?” Liana stated bluntly.
Because of the sleeping child behind them, their voices were hushed, but the words were sharp and confrontational.
At her words, a dangerous amusement flickered in Elian’s narrowed eyes.
But now, Liana had little left to fear from him.
Her mother was gone. Her love was gone.
“Don’t talk nonsense. My wife is you,” Elian said softly, reaching to put his arm around her shoulders again.
Liana stood up immediately. “Not for much longer.”
Elian remained seated. Liana looked toward the door and then walked quickly out of the room.
Elian didn’t move to stop her.
Once outside, she let out a quiet sigh of relief.
She’d actually made it out. She hurried away.
But soon, she heard the soft click of a door opening behind her, followed by familiar, steady footsteps that grew faster.
Her arm was caught, and she was turned and pressed back against the wall. Elian braced one hand against the wall beside her head, the other gripping her arm firmly. His gaze was clear as he looked at her, but then it softened. “Stay,” he murmured.
Liana stared back at him calmly. “Stay for what? Are you really going to get in bed with Anya so I can take the shot?”
“What would you do with those pictures?” he asked, as if it were a negotiable point.
“For the divorce. If I can catch you in the act, I can divorce you immediately.”
“You think your husband is that low? And about the divorce…” His voice trailed off.
