Chapter 172 I Have to Take Your Measurements
The news trended so fast, it was clearly a paid promotion.
Quentin felt a tightness in his chest.
Does she know that man has announced their wedding to the world?
Her study abroad application was approved. Will she go? Or will she stay?
Quentin mulled it over, suddenly unsure because of tha announcement.

Inside the principal’s office, everyone else soon left. The principal had coffee served, exchanged a few pleasantries, and excused himself.
“Liana dear, take off your coat,” Rosalind said, looking at her slender frame.
Liana was puzzled. Why take my coat off?
“This is an internationally renowned wedding gown designer. He rushed back from overseas just for you.”
Liana looked at the man seated alone. It was hard to pinpoint his age-radiant skin, handsome features. Only his eyes hinted he might be around forty.
People accumulate experience in their gaze over time, unless they’ve been perpetually sheltered.
“Yann Gray,” the man introduced himself, seeing her lock.
“Liana Keane.” She gave her name instinctively, though of course he already knew it.
Right now, her biggest worry wasn’t the designer, but the designer’s hands.
She looked slender, but….
“Grandma, Mr. Gray, I’m so sorry, but I truly don’t need a wedding gown,” Liana apologized.
“Well…”
“You may not need the gown, but I have to take your measurements,” Yann spoke before Rosalind could respond.
Liana looked at him curiously. She could tell this man would not be easy to brush off.
Rosalind, who had been unsure how to convince Liana, uddenly felt reassured by the designer’s assertiveness.
“Exactly. Mr. Gray is extremely difficult to book. Let him take your measurements. If the wedding doesn’t happen, no biggie.”
“Grandma, Elian and I are getting a divorce,” Liana had reiterate.
“Liana, darling, I really don’t want you two to divorce,” Rosalind said, her voice taking on a pleading tone.
Liana smiled gently but stood up.
She wanted to be a good girl who pleased her elders, but marriage wasn’t a performance for others’

“I’m sorry,” she said, this time to Yann, and turned to leave.
“Wait.”
Yann stood as well.
Liana turned back curiously. His face was serious as he strode toward her.
He was tall, maybe six feet one, just a couple of inches shorter than Elian.
His hands moved with startling efficiency, quickly measuring across her shoulders.
Liana understood. She’d seen movies where designers or male leads could gauge a woman’s measurements with just a glance. She was simultaneously relieved Elia didn’t have that ability and worried that this man did.
“Mr. Gray, I-”
“Don’t move.”
He gave her no chance to refuse.
One hand held her arm steady; the other deftly slid her coat off her shoulders.
Liana was stunned. It was like a Muggle being suddenly undressed by a wizard who then quickly jotted down her measurements in a notebook.
“Done.”
From shoulders to waist to ankles, it was over in under a minute, a seamless operation.
Liana stood there dumbly as he stepped back to make notes. One sleeve of her coat still hung from her arm; the rest pooled on the floor.
“Mrs. Locke, you may put your coat back on now.”
Yann closed his notebook. Mission accomplished.
Liana took a shaky breath and, feeling utterly foolish, silently put her coat back on.
She couldn’t help but stare at him.
She was completely awestruck.
Who even was this guy?
A designer? Hmph!
Just then, Elian’s call came through on the designer’s phone. He pulled it out, glanced at the screen, and answered. “Finished. Mhm.”
He handed the phone to Liana. “Your husband wants to talk to you.”
