Liana figured he must find it distasteful too. She finished wiping down the sink, but then he came back in, holding a bottle of water.
Her eyes warmed instantly. She took it, murmuring. “Thank you.”
He said nothing, simply closed the bathroom door from the inside.
Liana was about to drink when she realized he’d locked them both in. She hesitated, looking at him warily. “Why did you lock the door?”
“You’re on your period. What are you afraid of?”
“Your husband doesn’t have any weird kinks.”
He said it as he stepped closer to her.
Liana instinctively stepped back. “Don’t come any closer.”
“Are you used to giving your students orders, Ms. Keane? Now you’re ordering your husband around?” he asked, continuing to advance.
Liana felt increasingly uneasy.
Why did he keep emphasizing “your husband”? As if he were afraid she’d forget they were still married.
“Just drink your water. Your husband is going to take a shower.”
Annoyed by her wariness, he brushed past her and walked toward the shower area.
Liana looked toward the shower by reflex. Seeing him start to unbutton his shirt, she quickly turned away, silently sipping her water and rinsing her mouth.
But…
She couldn’t help but glance at the mirror-and there he was. His shirt had come undone, showing off his toned chest.
Her heart began to pound. She set the water bottle down and turned to leave.
“Liana.”
He suddenly called her from behind.
She turned, confused.
“Help me out,” he said, his gaze suddenly sharp.
He’s the one who doesn’t know how to ask for favors.
But seeing him hold out his hand, palm up, she stayed,
“The cut gets irritated when it gets wet. There are waterproof medical bandages in the drawer under the sink,” he reminded her.

Liana instinctively knelt to look, but her mind was man he helped you with this before?
“Here.” She placed the bandage on the counter and text nog
“Can’t you help me put it on? My left hand isn’t that
“Who helped you before, then?” She didn’t want to he
“Your husband did not cheat. There is no other woma. No more helped. That’s why it got infected.”
He was clearly displeased but explained in detail.
Liana looked at him, then finally picked up the bandage, peeled off the backing, and walked over to apply it carefully.
“Done. You’re welcome.”
She glanced at the deep cut on his palm, a sight she didn’t want to dwell on, and turned to leave.
But the second she turned around, he grabbed her from behind and pulled her into a gun bug.
“Liana,” his voice was a low, menacing growl in her ear “don’t you dare walk out that door.”
“Elian. let me go!”
“Not a chance.”
His arms tightened like a vice.
“Elian, you’re crushing me! I can’t breathe!”
She truly felt like she was being squeezed to death.
Unexpectedly he released her-then spun her around to face him.
“Say you love me.” he demanded, his voice low and eerily calm, stripped of the earlier obsession.
He seemed to have regained his composure.
Liama stared, confused.
Flian’s deep eyes blazed with a volatile mix of possessive jealousy, raw hurt, and unmistakable hunger.
“Are you crazy? With what do I love you? You won’t even help my friend.”
Our relatoshop is in ruins, and he’s talking about love?
But then..
“Tll help. Just say you still love me.”
His voice was tight, every word strained against a tide of rage.
In that moment, he needed that one sentence more an anything.
“Then forget it.”

Her throat tightened as she pushed against his chest with all her strength.
“I said I’d help, and I will.”
His tone was a low, guttural rumble, thick with suppressed emotion.
“I won’t say it.”
She met his gaze, stunned by how stubbornly he clung to the offer.
She studied his face, seeing the truth in his eyes-bu she refused to back down.
“I can see it. You’d toss me to the other side of the moon if you could.”
His voice dripped with sarcastic bitterness, laced with resentment.
Liana jolted. glanced up, and for a second, he looked heartbroken. Then she told herself she must be reading it wrong.

“I still get to name other terms.” Elian said after a bear, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he locked eyes with her
“No forcing me to say I love you. No stopping me from talking about divorce.” Her response was sharp, immediate.
Elian’s jaw tightened. furious-she’d anticipated his every move-but his hand was still wrapped around hers, knuckles white with the force of his grip.
A bitter laugh escaped him. “Fine,” he muttered quietly.
Unsure why he was suddenly so agreeable, Liana pressed on. “Then name your terms.”
“First, he began, deadly serious, “you block Quentin on every platform. Permanently. No unblocking. And you never meet with him alone again.”
This was something he just couldn’t tolerate anymore.
