His Hidden Family My Ruined Marriage (Liana) novel Chapter 67

Chapter 67 The Shattered Truth

Liana didn’t speak, only silent tears tracking down her face.

“Answer me. Did you get rid of my child?”

Elian demanded again as she remained silent, his hand still tight around her throat.

Liana, choked and unable to speak, met his gaze. Her eyes, once warm, were now chillingly distant.

It was the coldness of utter, final disappointment.

Linda reached the doorway just as Elian’s hand was at Liana’s throat. “Elian! What the hell are you doing? Do you want to kill her?” she screamed.

Elian jerked back to reality and released her.

Linda shoved him away and slapped his arm repeatedly. “You brat! Have you lost your mind?”

Elian felt he had lost his mind.

Hearing she’d terminated his child-how could he not go mad?

They had tried so hard to make that little life. Those tangled, breathless nights looped in his head-the way she loved him then, held him close, said she wanted more than one baby…

“Liana, are you alright?” Linda asked, seeing the devastation on her face.

Liana didn’t reply to Linda. Her gaze remained locked on Elian as she spoke, her voice eerily calm.

“I asked you. I asked you if that was really what you wanted. ‘Anya’s words are my words.’ Don’t

you remember?”

She didn’t understand how he could think there was any way back.

They had burned every bridge, spoken every cruel word. There was no path forward.

Elian’s head throbbed with pain, his eyes still blazing with a humiliated fury,

If looks could kill, he’d have burned her to ash right there.

Beside them, Linda felt her world collapse.

Her son made his wife take abortion pills?

Her grandchild was gone?

She had just learned of its existence.

“Elian, you monster! What other inhuman things have you done to your wife? You absolute monster…” Linda lunged at him, raining blows on his shoulders.

Elian didn’t flinch. His eyes remained fixed on Liana’s composed face.

“So… that afternoon. That was when you did it?”

His voice was no longer a roar. Perhaps because despair had hit its peak, he could barely see her clearly.

“Yes. That was the day-”

“Liana, I’m warning you. Think very carefully about what you say next, or I can’t promise what I’ll do,” he shouted again, a desperate part of him still clinging to the hope this was just a cruel lie to secure her divorce.

“If you don’t believe me, take me to the hospital. Have them check if there’s still a baby inside

me.”

A long, terrible silence stretched between them.

“Fine. I’ll divorce you. A woman as vicious as you doesn’t deserve to be my wife.”

His voice icy, Elian turned and walked out.

Linda sat on the edge of the bed, struggling to accept the loss of a grandchild she’d just discovered. She looked at the pale, exhausted Liana.

“Liana, honey, tell me you didn’t take any pills. Please.”

“Linda, I’m so sorry.”

That was all Liana said.

But finally, she would be free.

The minute she spilled that Anya had handed her those pills, and he didn’t question Anya for a second-only ripped into Liana with “Did you get rid of the baby?”-she knew it was all over, for good.

Even if he knew the truth, he wouldn’t blame Anya.

True love conquered all.

Especially when they shared a son.

Liana left the penthouse two days later. Linda and a housekeeper had stayed to care for her.

That evening, Elian met Xander at an upscale club.

“How’s Liana?” Xander asked.

“She’s back,” Elian replied flatly, sinking into a chair with a heavy sigh.

“I thought that penthouse was your place with her? Why’d she go back to her old apartment?” Xander was confused.

“From the moment she stepped in, she was suspicious. Thought it was my love nest with Anya. Doesn’t matter now.” Elian’s tone was thick with frustration.
