His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 114

Chapter 114

Austin POV

I’m going crazy. I am looking for any trace of Rebel. That bitch Morgana will die.

Reid is also going crazy. Everyone has been released from the safe rooms and when my mother and Adele found out that Rebel was taken by Morgana, they both became hysterical and started crying.

Adele was blaming Reid, who was also blaming himself. “This is my fault. I should have killed that evil witch back all those years ago. Maybe this wouldn’t be happening now if I had finished her.”

Renz, Jessup, Lacey and Jane all come running to where we are, trying to figure out a plan to find and rescue Rebel.

“Do we have any leads?’ Renz asked.

“Was anything left behind from where they vanished?” Jessup followed up?

Lacey and Jane were trying to console Adele and my mother.

“Reid, back when you knew Morgana, did you know of any hideout places she kept?” I asked.

“No Austin. I’m trying to remember any detail from then, but nothing is ringing a bell.”

Lacey speaks up, “Could she have taken Rebel back to Blue Moon?”

Jane speaks first, “I remember reading about witches, and their abilities. Teleportation doesn’t go that far. They wouldn’t be close, but they wouldn’t be that far either. I would say they are well past our borders, but not near the Northeastern region. There is just no telling where she would be though.”

“My main concern is if Alpha Kaden is there or not. Remember, he wants to force a mate bond with her.” I say. My nerves are shot right now. Fear is gripping at me. I can’t lose Rebel.

“Austin,” Reid said gently. Almost as if he is threading lightly with what he is about to say, “If Kaden is successful in forcing a mate bond with Rebel, you will feel it in your mark and you will feel the betrayal pains, just before the mark disappears from your neck. It will be painful.”

I close my eyes, trying to steel my nerves. “I will not lose my mate.”

Just as I am reaching my resolve to find my mate, I hear the faintest sound. It’s Rebel.

‘Austin, if you can hear me, I’m in a cave past the Western border. Find me before Kaden gets here.’

I look up, “SHE’S IN A CAVE PAST THE WESTERN BORDER!”

Everyone is looking at me strangely, “She just mind linked me. It was faint but it was her.” I say leaving no room for anyone to argue with me. “Gather the warriors, we are heading out now. Renz and Jessup, stay behind in case there is another attack!”

‘Alpha Austin, you are needed at the Western border.’ I received a mind link via the pack bond from one of the

warriors.

‘We are on our way. What has happened?’ I ask.

‘Ceraline is back but says she saw Luna Rebel.’ The warrior responds.

‘I’m on my way.’ I shift and Cronos pushes as fast as he can to reach the Western border.

Through the mind link, I inform Renz, Jessup and my mother that Ceraline has returned but it was to inform me that she saw Rebel.

As I approach the warrior that is waiting for me, he leads me to Ceraline. She hasn’t been gone long, but it looks like she hasn’t eaten in days. Her face looks gaunt and her eyes look somewhat lifeless. She brought her banishment on herself, but I still can’t help but feel sorry for her. I look at one of the guards and ask him if he brought food in the mind link. He brought some out and I handed it to Ceraline, “Here, eat. Tell me what you know about Rebel.”

Ceraline takes the food. It’s just a sandwich, but she starts eating hungrily, “Mmm. Um, I saw a light appear from one of the caves 5 miles from here. I went to investigate. I heard Luna Rebel’s voice Alpha Austin. There is another lady in there with her. She was rambling about Luna Rebel’s mother being murdered and then said something about an Alpha Kaden coming to spend alone time with her when he reaches the cave.” She spoke in between chewing on the sandwich.

“Can you take me to the cave?” I asked her.

“Sure. This is my way of making amends and redeeming myself, Alpha.” She says with sincerity.

“Lead the way then, and hurry. We don’t have a lot of time.” I say with urgency.
