Chapter 119
Before she goes into the operating room, she looks at me, “Alpha, let me do my job. Take a seat. I will be back to talk to you as soon as I am done.”
Her room was very authoritative and left no room for argument. I might be Alpha of Blackstone, but Dr. Hadley has final say in this hospital. I give her a curt nod and stand back as I watch her disappear behind the double doors.

After I sat down, my mother, Reid, Adele, and my betas and gammas came to check on Rebel. It’s been a little over an hour, and the waiting is killing me. My mother has her hand in mine, trying to give me moral support.
“She is going to be okay Austin.” She says.
“I should have gotten to her sooner. That fucker stabbed her with silver, but her face was bleeding and bruised and she wasn’t healing as quickly.” I said and I can hear my voice shaking.
“Austin, look at me.” My mother says and I look up and I feel tears stinging my eyes. I refuse to let them fall. ” You got to her when it mattered most, my son. Kaden didn’t get his wish. You killed him. He is no longer a threat to Rebel. She will get better, but he didn’t get to force himself on her or force a mark on her because you saved her.”
Reid also spoke, “Austin, my granddaughter is back inside the protection of your pack. She is safe. You did what was right at the time. She is strong and will recover. I am in your debt Austin.”
“As am I.” Adele said.
I just nodded my head quietly and continued looking down at the ground. More time passes and now we have been waiting almost three hours. What’s taking so long? Why hasn’t the doctor come out? I’m five seconds away from marching into that operating room when I see Dr. Hadley come out. FINALLY!
Her eyes look tired and she is moving like her adrenaline has left her body. “Alpha, you brought her just in time. Any later, and we could have lost her.”
“What?” My eyes went wide.
“The knife wound nicked an artery and punctured her spleen. That coupled with the loss of blood and concussion made her life seriously hang in the balance. I believe Roxie may have gone silent with the injury, but …” She stopped before she continued and then looked at me like I was a caged animal.
“But what doctor?” I say.
“Perhaps, you should sit down, Alpha.” She says.
but
I feel my mother grab my hand and lead me to a chair. I’m looking at the doctor. I’m worried with what she will say next. The way that she is looking at me, makes me think it will be bad what she is going to say. “Dr. Hadley, tell me. What else is wrong with my mate?”
“Alpha, did you know Luna is pregnant?” She asks quietly.
What did she just say? Pregnant? Rebel’s pregnant? My Rebel is having my pup?

My whole world just crashed into a wall. My eyes are wide and to say I’m in shock is a fucking understatement. I hear everyone around me gasp and I am still trying to process this enormous revelation. “Pregnant?”
Dr. Hadley’s eyes softens, “You didn’t know, which means Luna probably didn’t know either, Alpha. But yes, I’d say she is about two weeks along based on the blood work.”
‘Fucking react human! Our mate is pregnant! We are going to be fathers! Is our mates and the pup okay?’ Cronos yells into my head and that snapped me out of the shock I was feeling.
“Rebel’s pregnant? Is she okay? Is the pup okay?” I’m asking terrified that something has happened to either of
them.
Dr. Hadley smiles, “Yes, the pup is okay, but Luna has suffered some serious injuries. I suspect her wolf is silent because she is protecting the pup. This means, recovery will be long for Luna when she wakes up.”
“When will she wake up?” I ask.
