“So she is injured right now?” I ask my scout.

“Yes, Alpha. From what I understand, she was stabbed with silver and her face was bruised up. She is back at the pack house and I haven’t heard anything else.” The scout said.

“Good job. You can go. Continue to keep me updated.”

I will have Rebel soon enough. I just need the right opening. I haven’t gotten it yet. Whoever came to invade Blackstone didn’t think things through. To bad the scout couldn’t figure out who it was.

I am a patient enough man. I will have her and I will crush Austin at the same time. Plus, having Harris and his family under guard and ready for Rebel to see so I can manipulate the narrative will make things for me with her

too.

I have been meeting with other families looking for an acceptable Luna. My search is based on some criteria. So far, none of the she-wolves I’ve met, check all the criteria. She needs class, a good family background, be able to speak elegantly without sounding clueless, educated, beauty with a tempting figure and if she can cook, fuck and be obedient, even better.

Cullen POV

I’ve been keeping tabs on Blackstone. There was a battle with another pack recently. I understood that Rebel was taken but Austin recovered her pretty quickly. The scout also said that Rebel was injured.

re?’ I ask.

‘He only said he is here on official business.’

‘Show him in and bring him to my office.’ I close the link and I send a message to the omegas to bring some coffee and tea immediately.

A few moments later, Councilman Elias comes in and I greet him. “Councilman! What a pleasant surprise. To what do I owe the pleasure?” I say shaking his hand.

He looks at me with indifference and it’s noticeable. Interesting response. I’ve never had issues with the council, so I am not sure why he is here.

“Alpha Cullen, I am here on official business. I am here to collect Harris Lawson and his family in connection to case the council is working on. I understand that he is here in Ironclaw.” Elias informs me.

“What is the case you are working on? Is there anything I can do to assist you?”

What the hell? I can’t lose Harris. He is part of my plan with Rebel. If they take him, then I lose leverage with Rebel. This is interfering with my plans.

“I just need you to turn him and his family over. We will handle this rest. The case we are working on is classified.”

Just then the omegas came in with the coffee or tea. They place everything on the coffee table by the sofa in my office. The scurry out and I use the moment to try and get information from Elias.

“If Harris Lawson is involved in anything illegal that could affect Ironclaw, as their Alpha, I think I have a right to know what is happening and weed out any additional threats.” I say.

Elias looks at me with a stern face, “If there is a need for you to be involved Alpha Cullen, we will contact you. Until then, please escort my guard and me to Harris and his family.”

Shit. I’m not going to get anywhere. As Elias stands, clearly shutting down any further conversation, I move to leave my office and lead him to the dungeon and the cells where Harris and his family are being held.

“Why are they in the dungeon?” Elias asked.

“They held a person in their household as a servant and this person was never made part of the pack. I didn’t have any of knowledge of this person being in my pack without being a pack member.” I said.

“I see. Why didn’t you banish them from the pack?” Elias asked.

“I wanted to bring justice to the victim.” I said.

“Where is the victim?” He asked.

Shit. I need him to stop probing for information.

“Escaped, apparently. But I scented the victim in the house and then found out all the information from Harris using Alpha command.” I said.

“I see. Well, I need to proceed.” He said and then turned to the cells, “Harris Lawson, Jules Lawson, Rachel Lawson, and the Southwestern Council wants to bring you for questioning in connection to a case regarding

Luna Rebel Willis of Blackstone Pack.”

“Luna Rebel?” Harris asks.

“Yes. Please put your hands through bars so we can handcuff you and bring you in.” Elias said.

“What do you mean Luna Rebel? That fat bitch is a Luna now?” Rachel sneered.

“Watch your language Rachel Lawson.” Elias said coldly, “Put your hands through the bars.

The only one who didn’t say anything is Jules Lawson. She put her arms through the bars to be handcuffed. After all three were cuffed, the cell doors open and they file out. The council guard lead all three of them out of the cells and to the outside before leading them into a van with locks on the seats.

Once they were secured, Elias looks at me, “Thank you for your cooperation. If we need anything else, we will contact you.”

“Of course. This is regarding the Luna from Blackstone?” I say. I’m seething in the back of my mind. I have no recourse to salvage this situation. My prisoners and leverage have been taken from me. Then hearing Elias this is about Rebel is making me curious as to what is going on.

“Yes. That is all I can say for now.” He said as he got inside his vehicle, effectively dismissing me.
