His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 206

Chapter 206

“Thank you, Stefan.”

As we stand around waiting, we see one of the central council transport vans pull up. They finally brought Liora. They open the doors, and Liora steps out, still in iron shackles and manacles. Even if her magic comes back, she won’t be able to use it.

“Liora, before Rebel left, you said you would grant her two more questions. Morgana has taken both Rebel and Austin. Our guards followed you to this location and the house that was here is now gone.” Stefan said.

“Stefan, I said I would grant two questions to Rebel. I didn’t say I would grant them to anyone else. Why should I help you or Reid?” She said calmly.

I stepped forward, “I have no issues with taking their place, Liora. But my granddaughter and grandson-in-law are innocent in this revenge Morgana has against me. Let her deal with me instead. Help me find them and I swear I will swap places with them.”

“How touching. What’s in it for me?” Liora said.

Stefan speaks again, “I will release you, with the condition that you leave and never return. If you come back to create trouble, you will be killed.”

“I’ll think about it. Until then, I think I will sit in the van. I’m not sure I want to help this…” She looks at me with disgust, “individual.”

She walked back to the van. She sat there and didn’t move. She could be released and go far away without consequences in exchange for information, but she isn’t helping us because I’m hated that much.

I’m at a loss for words. As we wait, we see some black vans pull up. When they stop, the first people to step out is Austin’s gamma couple.

“Alpha Reid. Councilman Stefan. Where is Alpha Austin?” He asked.

“Morgana sent him through a portal the moment he was standing alone.” I said. “We are trying to find the house with the way in, but the house is gone.” I finished, waving my hand behind me at Jessup.

His mate Jane walks up, “No, it’s not. It’s right there.” She pointed out.

Jessup, Stefan, and I look at her at the same time. “What? There is nothing there, Jane.” Jessup says to her.

“Don’t you guys see the house? It’s down there, by those old oak trees.” She insists.

Then it hits me, “Wait, are you moon blessed?” I can’t say much, but I can ask a general question.

Jessup and Jane get where I’m going with this question. “Yes. I am, Alpha Reid.”

Stefan looks at us and says, “Then why can’t we see it?”

“Maybe there is magic wrapped around it.” I say to Stefan. “It also means, that if she can see it, then we don’t need Liora.”

Stefan smiles menacingly, “No, we do not. Guards! Take the prisoner back to the cells. Her services are no longer needed. We have it figured out.”

We hear Liora scream, “I’ll help! I’ll help!”

I stared at her, “No need. We have it figured out. We have blueprints of the tunnel system too. We don’t need you.” I wave at the guards to take her.

She is still screaming in the background, but it becomes more distant the further the van drives off. I turned my attention back to Jessup and Jane. I look at Stefan, “Stefan, could you please give me a moment with Jessup and Jane?”

Stefan nods and walks away to talk to his guards.

“Can you tell me why Austin brought you and your warriors here?” I ask them.

“We brought certain warriors with certain….moon blessings…to help with this mission, Alpha Reid.” Jessup said.

Leave it to my grandson-in-law to have a plan within a plan. “Great. Whatever his plan was, see it through. Let’s go to the house. Jane, will you lead the way?”
