Chapter 207
Austin POV
Morgana is planning to weaken us with the silver cells. I’m thankful that it doesn’t affect Rebel because of our pup. I don’t want her fighting in her condition, but we may not have a choice. Based on everything that Liora said and what Morgana willingly offered to share, this part of the plan is only the tip of the iceberg.
“Rebel, we need a plan to get out of here.”
“Well, one good thing is she hasn’t chained us up yet. If she was planning to use magic, that won’t work now.”
“Yeah, but we will only be stuck in here further, until the house is found. It’s been a while and there haven’t been any sounds of movement. Which means Stefan and Reid haven’t found the house yet. It also means that Liora probably didn’t help them.”
Rebel looks around, “I wish there was a weak spot in these cells. Maybe we could make a break for it ourselves. I haven’t found one yet though.”
At that moment, we hear movement. Holding my breath to see if Stefan and Reid found us. I’m deflated and irritated when I see Morgana has returned with rogues.
“What the fuck do you want now?” I growl at her.
She laughs, “What do I want? Oh, my dear Austin. For an Alpha, you are slow. I’ve already told you. I want revenge. You are going to help me destroy that precious mate of yours over there.” She points.
“You know I’m never going to help you.” I said.
“I’m getting déjà vu. Didn’t you say that last time?” She snickered.
The rogues are laughing but I’m deadly serious. I see Rebel behind them; she is shaking her head. She is mind linking me that she is going to tear them apart. I’m not letting her fight while she is pregnant. I want her safe.
The cell door is opened, and I realize it’s electronically controlled. I can potentially break the mechanism. However, the idea is short lived when I have to fight five fucking rogues. The silver has weakened me, but not enough. The door is closing, and I grab one of the rogues and slam him against the bars. He falls unconsciously between the cell door and frame before it closes. Perfect. I have a way out. He will be too heavy for that bitch to move. I start fighting my way through with the other four rogues. I slam two of them in the head against the table and they fall unconscious as well.
The last two are ganging up on me, and I am starting to feel worn out when Rebel mind links me. “The one to your left has a bum right knee. Take it out.’
Thank the Goddess that my mate can still mind link me. I go for the knee and the rogue falls, screaming.
I’m on the last one and I may not be able to shift, but I can still rip a man’s throat out, so I do. I grab on to his throat and dig my nails in before ripping through the skin and tearing out his throat. Morgana is still trying to push the rogue stuck between the door and frame out of the way to keep me locked in.
“Morgana, you are not leaving alive tonight.” I growl.
She smirks, “We will see about that,” as she waves her hands to conjure up a portal opening. But it doesn’t work.

When her eyes widened, I smiled menacingly. “Not working? What a shame.” I say as I prowl towards her. I want to end her. End this torment. Leave here with my mate and pup safe and finally out of danger.
Without warning, one of the rogues gets up from behind me and jumps on my back. He clamps his fangs in my neck. I let out a loud roar from the unexpected pain.
“AUSTIN!” Rebel screams out.
Morgana looks at me with a menacing grin, “I guess you are not as strong as you thought you were.”
She looks at the rogue, “Get him to the table. We need him shackled.”
Fuck that! I will not be shackled again. I threw myself backwards and, on the table, taking the rogue with me. I hear a sickening crack, and his body goes limp. I get up, struggling at this point, but I’m not down. I start prowling towards Morgana, and I see her produce a bottle.
Before I could react, Morgana splashed the water at me. I step back and trip over one of the rogues, when it starts burning. This crazy bitch threw liquid silver at me.
“You fool! You think I don’t have backup plans? You will all die. I don’t care if I die with you! Just as long as you die too!”
As I struggle to get back up, I hear Rebel speak up. “Morgana, wonder why your magic isn’t working? Wondering what happened to Liora?”
‘I’m distracting her. Get up, babe.’ She tells me in the mind link.
Morgana turns to look at her, “You’re responsible for Liora?”
Rebel smirks at her, “I’m responsible for your magic and her magic not working. I got her locked up in iron shackles in the dungeons of the central council. I made sure you lost all of your magic as soon as you walked in here you bitch!”
Morgana grabs the cell bars, “WHAT DID YOU DO?!”
