Chapter 210
Rebel POV
As soon as the second EMT arrived, I asked Jessup and Jane to take me to the hospital where both Austin and my grandpa were being admitted. My grandfather still had a pulse, but it was weakening fast. Austin was unconscious. I was an emotional wreck.
Jane kept holding my hand and talking to me to help keep me calm, but my mind was focused on two men in my life that are hanging in the balance between life and death. The Moon Goddess gave me abilities to hear a truth or lie and made me immune to silver, but I wasn’t given any healing abilities.
I asked Jane for her phone and called my grandma. As soon as my grandma answered hello, I started rapid fire talking “Grandma! Morgana stabbed grandpa with a shiv. She spilled concentrated silver on Austin. They are both on their way to Crestwood Regional and I am following behind them.”
My grandma was surprisingly calm. “Rebel, my darling granddaughter. Do not fear. They will both be fine. Your grandfather called me a couple of hours ago and I took the private yet to the Central region. I just touched down, and I will meet you at the hospital.”
“Grandma, you don’t understand. Grandpa was fading fast. Austin was already unconscious.”
“I understand perfectly. You just get to the hospital and wait for me.” She said calmly, “Are you and the pup okay?”
“Yes, we are fine.” I said, half sobbing.
“Calm yourself, my dear girl. Trust grandma, okay?”
I took a deep breath, willing myself to calm down, “Okay, grandma. I will see you at the hospital.”
Once I hung up the phone, Jane looked at me. “Rebel,” she said, and she never uses my name. I don’t care about titles; she knows that “everything will be okay. We are here for your no matter what.”
I hugged her, “I can’t lose them, Jane. I can’t.” I sobbed again.
“You won’t. They are strong alphas. They will make it.”
“Luna, we are almost there. Another couple of minutes and we will be at the emergency entrance. You and Jane go in and I will park the car.” Jessup said.
I jump out and tell Jessup, thank you quickly before running into the emergency room. I approached the nurse’s station, “My mate and grandfather were brought here. Austin Willis and Reid Morrison.”
The nurse looks through her computer screen. In a heavy accent, she responds, “Austin Willis was transferred to ICU, bay six. Reid Morrison was immediately taken into surgery.”
After asking her for directions for both locations, I was stopped by Jessup and Jane. Following them is my grandma. I throw my arms around her and hug her. “Grandma, I’m so glad you are here.”
My grandmother hugs me and says, “My dear girl. Tell me where your grandfather and Austin are right now.”
“Grandpa was sent for surgery as soon as he got here. Austin is in ICU, bay six.” I said with my lips trembling.

“I see. Go to Austin. I will see about your grandpa. You being with Austin will give him the strength he needs to recover. I will do the same for my mate.” She says with a gentle smile. I admire how strong and calm she is right
now.
I sniffle, “Okay, grandma.” I look at Jessup and Jane, “Mind link me if something happens and I’ll come right away.”
They nodded their heads, and I took off to the ICU unit. When I get there, I ask where bay six is and the nurse looks me up and down. “Are you family?”
Bitch, I am not the one. Not today. “Austin Willis is my mate. I am Luna Rebel Willis of Blackstone.” I said, icily.
“I see. Well, Mr. Willis is sleeping right now, and we don’t let anyone come in while patients are sleeping.”
‘Lie.’ Roxie said.
‘Why would she lie?’
‘I’m not sure, Rebs.”
What the hell is up with this bitch? “Listen, I followed the ambulance here. He was taken up only a few minutes ago. Either let me in and tell me where bay six is, or we are going to have a problem.”
