Chapter 243

Armando POV
I was enjoying the shocked expression on Thalia’s face after she finished singing and her father went on the stage. After he called me on stage, I just knew I was going to see the fire in her eyes. She didn’t disappoint me either. She looked like she was going to let out an inner beast.
It’s that fire I want in bed with her. She looks sultry and sexy with that red dress on. I want to see, touch, and taste everything underneath it. I want her to fight me in bed. I can be patient until the wedding night though. It will make the intensity more enjoyable.
Suddenly, I hear someone scream, “MINE!”
I saw two guys. One with black hair and the other with brown hair. He says he has been looking for her for a long time. They have a history? I am feeling my anger coming to the surface. I can tell Diego doesn’t know about this asshole and this guy is making an enemy out of me, real quick.
Diego tells Thalia that I’m her fiancé. But Thalia decides to say something about a mate. What the fuck does that even mean? Diego understood it and his eyes widened. He said he didn’t approve and then I had finally had enough.
“THALIA! GET UP HERE NOW! STOP EMBARRASSING THE FAMILIES!” I yelled. My anger is raging over and before I could grab her, that asshole with the black hair grabs me by the neck and starts squeezing.
Fuck, this bastard is strong. “I dare you to raise your voice to her again.” He said and he looked feral. But I’m not going to back down to this asshole. Thalia is mine. I’ve waited years for her father to agree to the marriage alliance. I’m at the doorstep of my success and I will not be locked out by this asshole.
I was going to reach for my gun, but Thalia gets on stage. “Aiden. Let him go, please.”
When that motherfucker tossed me aside on the ground, I started coughing and gasping for air. I have never been this fucking humiliated in my life. No one has ever dared cross a member of the Reyes family, let alone me, the fucking heir. This man has signed his own death warrant.
After Diego dragged us all to a vacant office, he told me to wait outside. How the fuck am I being outcast from this conversation? She is my fucking fiancé! After a few minutes, I hear yelling and then silence. I start to get concerned so I open the door. Diego is on the ground, passed out, and Thalia is in this man’s arms.
I rip her away and tell him to keep his fucking hands off my fiancé, but Thalia blew up at me saying that she isn’t going to marry me. Before I even had a chance to tell her that it’s not her decision, she threw me against the wall so hard that my head bounced and everything went black.
By the time I woke up, I was at home, in my bed. Did I fucking dream everything? When I sit up, I realize my head still hurts. Nope, it was very real. I feel my anger boiling over again, when my father walks in.
“DO YOU WANT TO TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED LAST NIGHT?” He yelled.
“I don’t understand myself, father.” I started, “Everything was going according to plan. Diego announced our engagement and then two assholes with fucking mutant strength intervened. I only know the first name of one of them. Aiden.”
“After that,” I continued, “We went to the back office of the restaurant. Diego kept me outside. When I was tired

of waiting, I barged in. The last thing I remember was Diego, passed out on the floor and that prick’s arms around Thalia. When I said she was my fiancé, she blew up at me, and everything went black. I don’t even know how I got home.”
“The asshole who knocked your ass out called you a cab and told them to bring you here.” My father said angrily. “How dare someone challenge the Reyes family and my heir?!”
“I will handle this father. I am going to Diego today. This will not go unsettled. We need the marriage alliance for our power to be extended further.” I said.
If Thalia wants to keep pushing back, then I will force her to submit. She has awakened a beast in me. I didn’t want to be ugly, but I will do what I need in order to get what I want.
