His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 264

Chapter 264

Diego POV

When Blanca told me that Thalia and Mia wanted to walk to the back of the estate to the beach, I didn’t complain. I saw them walking, and they were already dressed. The wedding gown was actually very nice. I figured I would give them a moment of privacy. However, after fifteen minutes of waiting to see them walk back, I sent one of my men to get fetch them so we could proceed with the ceremony.

What I didn’t expect was that they both took off. They left the dresses behind and ran off. Not only that, but in the span of fifteen minutes, they were completely gone. Disappeared into thin air. There was no trace of them anywhere.

When we left the beach and started walking into nearby areas and other private beaches, there were two women there. Both blondes and they were in bikini’s getting sun. My men and I asked them if they had seen Thalia and Mia.

“We saw two females. They both had dark hair and eyes. One looked a little younger. Are those the girls you are talking about?” One of them asked.

“Yes. Which way did you see them go?”

“They continued down the beach until they got to those trees in the distance. I didn’t pay attention after that. Sorry.”

“Do you know what they were wearing, by chance?”

The other girl answered, “Yeah, both were in biker shorts and tube tops.”

“Thank you, ladies.” I said, and I turned to my men, “Go that way and see if you can locate them. Drag them back here if you have to. I need to break the news to the groom and guests.”

After we split up, I go back towards the house. I see Blanca looking at me, find them? Where are my daughter’s, Diego?”

“Did you

“They took off Blanca. I am trying to locate them. Don’t worry, I’ll find them.”

Blanca started crying, “They ran away because of you, Diego! You went too far this time. Now I have lost my daughter’s!” She sobbed.

I pulled her into my arms, “Shhh…I will find them and the marriage will proceed as planned.”

She pushes me away, “They ran because of this wedding! You want to find them and deliver them into a future of unhappiness? Have you learned nothing, Diego?” She

sobbed more.

“We will talk about this later, Blanca. Right now, I must make the announcement. This is embarrassing enough!” I snapped.

Blanca wipes the tears from her eyes, “Of course, it’s only your pride that you care about. Damn everyone else’s feeling, right? I’m going to my room. I can’t stand the sight of you.” She cried angrily.

I don’t have time to deal with her hysterics. I will deal with her later. Right now, I have to face the guests and the Reyes family.

As I make my way to the altar, I look at Armando. He wasn’t expecting me to come down the aisle. Hell, I wasn’t expecting to come down the aisle without Thalia, either. As soon as I reach him, I quietly say, “I’m sorry,” before turning to the crowd.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I appreciate every one of you coming today to support the union between the Reyes and Moreno’s. Unfortunately, today’s event is being postponed to a later time. The bride is unwell and had to be taken away. We will let you all know of the new date ahead of time. Please stay and help yourselves to food and drink.” I finished.

Then I turned to Armando, “Come with me to my office.”

Armando is red in the face, and I don’t blame him. I’m trying to remain calm, but I have to keep my cool in front of all these people.

As Armando and Don Arnaldo enter my office, Armando starts, “What the fuck is going on, Diego? Where is Thalia?”

“She and Mia went to the beach at the back of the estate. I personally saw Thalia in her wedding dress and Mia in her dress. I was told they were going to have a last moment together before the ceremony began. However, it was a trick. When I thought they were taking too long, I went there with my men and all we found were the dresses. They took off and we are trying to locate them now.”

“Don Diego,” Don Arnaldo began, “Do you not know how to raise your daughters? How did you not have men with them to keep them in check?”

“I understand my oversight, Don Arnaldo. Thalia has been cooperating all week with wedding preparations. I had no idea she would do this at the last minute. By all accounts, she accepted the marriage alliance.’

“Where the fuck are they?” Armando demanded.

“There were two women on the beach on the adjacent property. They said that
