“Also, Raul, I meant to ask you about the tea I had you test. I’ve been so busy, I forgot to ask.” I hear Aiden ask Tio, while I walk back to them.

“Oh yes, with everything that happened today, I forgot. Your suspicions were right. It was poisoned with an aphrodisiac.” Tio said.

I hear Aiden growl and I walk up. “An aphrodisiac? Who was the intended victim?”

“Me.” Aiden said.

My eyes go wide. “You? Who was trying to take advantage of you?”

“Someone who will have to answer for their crime against their Alpha.” He said, his expression darkened.

Damn it. It’s so not fair that he looks so fucking hot no matter what mood he is in. I see his eyes glaze over and when they refocus, he looks at me.

“Your uncle has invited us to his home tonight for dinner. I’m sure you would like to meet your cousins and aunt, right?” Aiden asks.

I smile, “Yes! I have never gotten to meet them. I want to spend some time with them.”

Aiden gives me one of his warm smiles, “Okay. Tonight, you and Mia need to accept me as your Alpha. We can do that at Raul’s place.”

“Okay.” I said, shyly. Why does he make me feel a range of different emotions? I’m so not used to his kindness or kindness in general.

Mia walks up behind us,

“Are we ready to go?”

Aiden looks at my Tio, “Please email me the results. I will be handling it tomorrow.” Then he looks at Mia, “Do you want us to walk you to your uncle’s place, Mia?”

“It’s no problem at all, Aiden. How about we meet at the house in a couple of hours?” Tio says.

“Okay. We will be there.” Aiden says, as he turns to me and holds out his hand. “Let me show you the pack house.”

I smile at Isaiah who is grinning from ear to ear. “Thalia, it’s so nice to meet you.” As he pulls me into a hug.

I immediately stiffen at the unexpected hug. I quickly try to relax so I don’t give away my nervousness. “It’s nice to meet you too, Isaiah.” I said.

He looks at me a little funny, then asks, “Are you heading to the pack house now?”

“Yeah. I’m going to show Thalia the pack house. Mia is staying with Raul, Dr. Moreno.” Aiden said.

“Wait, your mate is Dr. Moreno’s niece? Small world.” Isaiah said and I smiled at him.

“The world is small, but life is grand.” I tell him.

As we start walking away, I look at him, “Mind link?”

“Yeah, wolf thing. Once you and your sister accept me as your Alpha, you will be able to mind link anyone in the pack or each other. It’s easy.” He said.
