Chapter 36: Confessions

Aiden POV

The last month with Thalia has been the best of my life. I’m insanely crazy in love with her. There is never a dull moment with her. She has fire and sass. I never know what she is going to say or do. I’m constantly laughing with her and I’m never bored.

The only thing is we haven’t been intimate, except to hold her and kiss her. If I try anything beyond that, she closes up. Leon whines in my head because he wants to mark our mate as desperately as I do, but she isn’t ready. I don’t want to push her too hard.

Last night, when she was telling me how much she made and that she is going to use it to put Mia through school, I felt a sense of pride with my mate. She wants to provide for her sister and I think it’s great. I’m going to ask her for the exact number and then I’m going to match it. Hopefully, she doesn’t reject the offer. I have noticed she doesn’t like owing anything to anyone, but I’m her mate and this would be for her sister.

She also told me about her shit head brother Rodrigo. I hope I never meet him. He sounds like a real piece of work. I just can’t imagine siblings being this terrible to one another. Not when I have a great relationship with all of my siblings. It seems like his hatred of Thalia is because of his father’s influence.

Rory and Thalia have been as thick as thieves. Rory showed her gifted ability, which she was born with, which are her nails. Those things can scratch through metal when she extends them. When they are not extended, they are round and non- lethal. Thalia thought it was so cool that she started throwing fruit in the air for Rory to slice them and they both laughed at the fruit salad that ended up being on the outdoor tables near the smokers.

Mom and Dad have been having fun with Thalia because of the smokers. She showed my mom, who loves to smoke meat, how to do a tropical style pork shoulder. They ended up doing a cookout that was tropical themed for the entire pack. Everyone loved it and no one was left out, except Tina and her family.

I am pending a conversation with them. I found out what happened and it isn’t Tina’s fault. Which surprised me. I don’t think she knew based on the evidence, but mom and dad certainly knew. I asked the warriors to escort the three of them to my office. I have Isaiah here with me. Thalia went to the hospital to check on Mia. mind is thinking about Thalia, there is a knock at my office door. Isaiah and I look up from our work, “Come in.” I say.

One of the guards walks in with Tina and her parents. Behind them is the second guard. “Alpha, we have brought the Clark’s.

“Thank you. Please stand outside the office and wait for me to call you back in.” I said.

First, Isaiah speaks, “Please, take a seat.’

I notice the behaviors of Mr. and Mrs. Clark. Mr. Clark looks upset with Mrs. Clark, while Mrs. Clark looks smug. Tina looks tired. I hated leaving her under house arrest for the past month, but everything was investigated and it took time.

Mrs. Clark decided to speak before being asked any questions, “Alpha, I hope you have finished your investigation and can finally let us out of our own house.”

“Oh, I have finished my investigation and I have to say, I am not happy with what I found Mrs. Clark.” I started, “Do you want to explain why you and your husband paid two of my omegas to add an aphrodisiac to my tea. Not only my tea, but you planned to have it in my food too.”

“I have no idea what you are talking about, Alpha.” Mr. Clark said.

“Darryl, I’m sure you do. Considering the money came from your account.” I said.

“Thank you. I am going to Alpha command the three of you shortly. But first, I’m giving you all the opportunity to tell me the truth.”

Tina then speaks up, “Alpha, I swear, I didn’t know about any of this. The only reason I changed my style of clothing and tried to get you to spend more time with me was because I was hoping to get your attention. But I would never drug you or seduce you with such low schemes. I may not be perfect, but I have my dignity.”
