His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 284

Chapter 284

Thalia POV

If I had a camera to snap the expression on Canary and Sin’s faces, I would have done it. Their faces are hilarious. But soon it morphed into the sarcastic expression I’ve come to know from them.

“You had me there for a second.” Canary laughed.

“Yeah, Kabar, what do you really need to tell us.” Sin asked.

Aiden looks at both of them, “We are werewolves. We don’t usually allow humans into our territory. That’s why we are telling you, so you don’t jump if you see us shifting to our wolves.” He said seriously.

Now they look serious. “You’re werewolves? Bullshit.” Canary said.

I looked at Aiden. I haven’t actually seen his wolf yet. All he did though was extend his arm and let his claws come through. When Canary and Sin saw the claws, their eyes widened.

“Holy Shit!” Sin said.

Canary is still speechless. After a beat she says, “You too, Kabar?”

“Yeah.”

“Is it just you or is it your family too?”

“My family are, but some of us don’t have our wolves.”

“How are you a werewolf without a wolf.”

I sighed and started explaining how some omegas don’t have wolves. When you get your wolves, etc. By the end of it, they are both quiet. Then Canary quietly looks at “So your father knows how to take down other wolves. Which means your borders won’t mean anything.”

me,

I hadn’t thought of this fact but apparently, Aiden has. “Thalia’s father is no rank wolf. He wouldn’t stand a chance in a normal werewolf setting.”

“Rank?” Sin said.

Once again, I had to explain ranks and the hierarchy. I think that is when Canary’s eyes lit up. “So, wait, you are hooked up with the leader, Kabar?”

I smiled. “Yes.”

“What about your sister?” Sin asked.

“We won’t know until she is at least eighteen. Assuming her mate is in this pack.”

“That must be nice. Being paired with your partner instead of dating just to realize the guy is a dud. Another reason why being human sucks.” Canary said.

Aiden laughed. “I never thought about it that way, but yes, that probably is another benefit for wolves.” Then he continued. “You can’t tell anyone of our existence, ladies. However, if you would like to stay, you are welcome to stay at the pack house. We can take you there now.

“Thank you, Aiden.” They said. “Or is it better to call you Alpha?” Sin asked.

“Aiden is fine for now. In front of the pack, I would prefer Alpha. Thalia’s family and mine only get first name privileges.” He smiled.

“Got it.”

“Shall we?” Aiden asks, holding my hand.

I smiled at him, “Let’s go.”

As we start making our way through the trees, we start hearing rustling in the woods. Aiden and I hear it and we look at each other. We smell the stench of rogues.

“Canary. Sin.” I say steadily, “Listen to me carefully, there is another set of wolves we forgot to mention. Do either of you have a weapon on you?”

“I’ve got my Beretta.” Canary said.

“I’ve got my Beretta and I have a switch blade.” Sin said. Thank the Goddess for small miracles.

“Give me the switch blade.” I say quietly.

Sin passes it to me, “What’s going on?”

“Rogues. Basically, they are thugs.” I said.

Aiden looks at me, “I smell two.”

“Then this should be easy.” I smirked. “Canary, Sin, stay close. Fighting wolves is different than fighting humans.”

“Come on out.” Aiden said.

We immediately heard snarling. “Well, lookie here. An alpha surrounded my human

“I want the exotic one.” The other rogue said.
