His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 285

Chapter 285

Aiden POV

It was interesting seeing two humans fight alongside me and Thalia. They both were fearless and knew how to work in step with Thalia and me. It was impressive and they showed no fear.

They are both shocked though. Clearly, seeing a man jump into a wolf can shock anyone who only just found out werewolves exist. Just seeing something like that happen without know werewolves exist could give anyone a heart attack.

But not these ladies. These ladies are killers themselves. I guess this may not be the worst they have ever seen.

They warriors of course arrive late and now they are ready to attack the same two women that were helping Thalia and me.

“Stand down. They are not the enemy.” I said to my warriors. “They are friends of your Luna. Please show them respect. They will be staying with us tonight.”

Immediately, the warriors calmed down and started gathering the two rogues. I hear two of them talking to each other, “You know Luna gutted this one. Look at this guy.”

“Yeah, we have a bad ass, Luna. I can’t wait for Alpha and Luna to complete the mate bond.”

Yeah, me too. I want to complete my mate bond with Thalia, but she always recoils past a kiss. I was hoping tonight’s dinner might help her relax around me some more. But it was ruined. I can’t be mad at her for these unforeseen circumstances. If not for the interruption, we would have faced the rogues alone.

After they put the bodies together, Thalia, Canary, Sin and I start walking back.

“What are they doing with the bodies?” Canary asked.

“Burning them, as is custom.” I said.

“So, you cremate everyone?” Sin asked.

“Yeah, but we don’t save the ashes in urns. That’s a very human thing.”

We continued walking and pretty soon, we were in the middle of the pack again. I am getting some very strange looks. It’s not every day that an Alpha escorts two humans into the pack after all.

“That was really nice how you took down the other rogue, Aiden.’

I smirked, ‘Did I impress my mate?’

‘Maybe.’ She replied.

‘Just a maybe?’ I asked.

‘Maybe.’ She laughed in the link.

“I had no idea that there is basically a town in the middle of the forest. You all hide yourselves well. I’m going to revise my original timeline. Two months. That’s how long you have Kabar.” Canary said.

“I can work with two months.” Thalia said, and I wonder what that means. I will talk to her about that later though.

“There are several packs in the area. We have different regions though. Ironclaw is to the East of us. There is a mountainous range to the West of us. In the Northern region there is Blue Moon and Rising Moon. There are several more than that too. Those are just to name some of them.” I said.

As soon as we enter the pack house, I ask two omegas if they can prepare two guest rooms for our two guests.

“Alpha, the rooms were already prepared. Beta Isaiah linked us to get it ready. We can take the ladies to their rooms now, if you like.”

“Yes, thank you.” I turn to Canary and Sin, “Have you both eaten?”

“Nope.” Sin said.

I look at the omegas, “Please have the kitchen bring two plates of food for our guests. Also, please bring two plates to our room.” I said as I took Thalia by the hand. We have blood on us, and we need to clean up.

“Yes, Alpha.”

I say good night to Thalia’s friends and we make our way to the bedroom. I’m hoping we can maybe shower together. Goddess knows I’m being patient, but I am desperate for my mate. Not having my mark on her tonight was scary with the rogue attack. I’m not sure she will go far with me, but I want to at least attempt. If she says know then I will have her shower first.

“Do you want to shower together?” I asked quickly and seriously.

“What? No.” She said, “I’m not ready for that, Aiden. I’m sorry.” She said.

I sigh internally. All the time I’ve ever seen mates; they can’t get enough of each

other. They want each other all the time. My mate doesn’t. I’m not sure if it’s because her wolf hasn’t surfaced, or if it’s just because she doesn’t want me, but I’m starting to feel all of the rejections boil into one big rejection.
