Chapter 318
Isaiah POV
I know things are happening with Aiden and Thalla. Honestly, I’m happy for them. Especially Thalia. My sis sounds like she has been through hell and back with her own family, It’s good to see her smiling and laughing. She and Mia were on edge when they first got here. They both are more relaxed now.
When Mia shifted, I really hoped she would be my mate. I was upset when I found out we weren’t. My wolf though, he didn’t particularly care for Mia. He didn’t like dislike her, but he wasn’t drawn to her either. I was drawn to her though.
“Isaiah!” Canary calls out, breaking me from my thoughts.
“Hey Canary. Is that your real name or code name?” I asked. I have been meaning to ask but never found the right opportunity.
“Code name, sweet cheeks.” She said with a grin.
“Why Canary?”
“Ever here the saying, ‘a little birdie told me…”” she asked.
“Yeah.”
“Well, Canary birds are the sweet little birds that would tell on you.” She said with a smirk.” I’m an information gatherer. That whole gossip thing about women, plays to my advantage.”
“So, what’s your real name then?” I asked.
“Kaiya” She said,
Kaiya. That’s a pretty name. Different.
“I assumed you flagged me down for a reason.” I said.
“Yeah, so, I’m married. If I turn, how would that work?” She asked.
“You may want to talk to Aiden about your question. Honestly, it’s not like our kind don’t live amongst humans. Thalia and Mia are a perfect example of that, but I would be lying if I told you I knew the answer to your question.”
“Do you like being a wolf?”
“Best species on the planet.” I said with pride.
She raises an eyebrow at me. “Why aren’t you mated?”
“Haven’t met my mate.” I said.
“Aren’t you supposed to meet them when you shift?”

“Aiden waited fourteen years to meet Thalia.” I said. “I thought you wanted to turn to find your mate?”
“I do.” She said and I see something behind her eyes, but I can’t quite make it out.
“Well, if you are already married, why would you need a mate?”
“That’s my business.” She said.
“Turning isn’t a joke Kaiya.” I said. “It’s permanent. There is no going back once you turn.”
“Maybe I just want to be bad ass.”
“You know I won’t turn you, unless you agree to accept Aiden and Thalia as your Alpha and Luna, right?”
“Ugh. Are you always such a rule follower?”
“Are you always a rule breaker?”
“Can’t we just be fluid about the whole accepting Alpha and Luna, thing? Thalia understands me, you know.”
“Could you not be stubborn and follow the rules?”
“Ugh. You’re not fun. Such a stick in the mud.” She said. “I need to talk to Sin. See you later.” She takes off running and doesn’t look back. Goddess, I feel sorry for her husband. She seems young to be married. It’s not like I’m old, but still…I thought humans waited years to get married. Their world is so different from ours. It would be an adjustment for any human to adapt to our world. Especially after turning.

Diego POV
Mia would have shifted by now. She would have her wolf. That also means, she may have found her mate. If she hasn’t, then I need to get to her before she does. I know I am closing in on a location, but if I could find that damn phone I would be able to speed this up.
I have put Blanca through the paces. She has been beaten, water boarded, whipped, electrocuted, starved, and still she won’t say anything. She is determined to die and take it to her grave. She looks at me with disgust, but she broke the mate bond with me. She doesn’t see me as her mate anymore, so I no longer care what she goes through.
The only thing she mumbles is for Thalia not to let me find her. It’s incoherent and she sounds like she is talking to someone else.
Rodrigo has been a pain in the ass too. He has been asking me when I plan to let him take over the family business. I finally had to shut him down last night and tell him that I am not going to pass anything to him until I have found his sisters and brought them back here. Thalia

“Come in.” I said as he walked in, “What news?”
“Armando and his crew have been helping with the search. They found an abandoned road on their end and they are trying to see where it leads However, we have also found an abandoned looking road on our end and it seems to be heading in the same direction as the lead that Armando’s team has found.”
“Where does it lead?” I ask.
