My head is spinning with information overload. I understand why Aiden didn’t tell me. I understand why he was determined to help me with Nyx. Now that I understand, I’m trying to wrap my head around all the gifts.

“You’re stronger and you can compel people to do what you want?” I said, trying to make sure I understand him.

“Yeah, and faster.” I added.

“Nyx said when we complete our mate bond, that your gifts would be enhanced.” I said.

“Enhanced how?” He asked. His curiosity piqued.

“Not a clue. Nyx doesn’t know either.”

“Maybe after you take the blood pact, then all will reveal itself. I also wonder if you are gifted. I know just having Nyx as your wolf is special, but you have always had really good hearing.” He said.

‘Nyx?’ I said.

‘Yeah, our kind has special hearing. I wouldn’t call it unique though.’ She said.

“Nyx said that our kind has special hearing. I guess wolves like me?”

“Interesting. By the way, Dr. Higslee is coming to work with Raul regarding your wolf and situation. Your uncle thinks that because Nyx has healed you with everything she can, that now you might have better odds for carrying a pup.” He said and that was like a bucket of water being splashed at me.

“Really? When will he be here?” I asked.

“The day after tomorrow. We have rooms set up for him. I’m not sure if Dr. Hadley will be here too or not. That’s his mate.” Aiden said.

“Okay. That sounds great. I look forward to meeting them.”

“Also, something else I want to talk to you about mojito.”

“What?”

“A Luna Ceremony for you. We should have one.” He said. “We need for the pack to formally accept you as their Luna.”

I think I stopped breathing. “There is an actual ceremony for that? Do I have to do a ceremony?”

“More like nervous.” I said.

“I would be there with you. It’s a ceremony that tes you to me further with the pack and the pack will accept you as their Luna. You wouldn’t be alone, mojito.”

That relaxed some of my worry. “What if they don’t accept me?”

“Then they can find another pack or forfeit their life.” He said without hesitation.

I nod but it’s making me feel overwhelmed. I think Aiden my feel it through the mate bo because he starts pushing a calming feeling through the bond.

After a while, Isaiah comes back and we continue discussing the surveillance video. Aiden thinks it will take a couple of weeks for them to get through the traps. Since all of them are human, we could scare them off with the wolves. But that may bring my father here sooner.

“We assume it will bring your father here.” Isaiah said. “Like you said, he doesn’t know where you are, so he could assume we are a pack but not that you are here.”

Aiden agrees, “He’s right. Canary and Sin are smarter and probably had an idea of where you were going because they were helping you escape Your father didn’t know you were planning an escape.”

“Yeah, but if he somehow finds out that we came to Tio Raul’s pack, then it will lead him back here. My mother knows we are here and if something happens and he hurts her, then she might be beaten into submission.” I said, and sadness overcomes me. I really hope my mother is okay. I wish I could have spoken to her that day

“Mojito, I promise you, that we will figure out a way to reunite you with your mom.” Aiden said.

“I made a promise to her on the day Mia and I escaped.” I said. “She made us promise not to look back and keep moving forward and not worry about her. I can’t help but worry but we have otherwise kept our promise.”

“I didn’t make that promise, mojito. If I can get her here, I will.” Aiden said.

“I love you, Aiden.” I said with unshed tears forming in my eyes.

“I love you, too.”

We went back to discussing plans and we even called Jonah and Rory to the office. We had to explain everything to them about my past too. I hope this is the last time I have to tell someone about my background. Jonah and Rory look pissed.
