Maybe these were the enhancements Thalia was telling me about. ‘I think it’s because Thalia and I completed our mate bond.’

Then I mind linked Thalia and told her. ‘You’re two feet taller and more muscular? Is that going to translate to your yummy body too?’

‘We will find out tonight, tiger.’ I said growling in the mind link before closing it.

We run towards the trap site and sure enough, all those bastards are still there. I slow and all the warriors to slow their pace to a predatory speed.

We start advancing and I am leading the pack. Since I am now considerably larger than the rest, I want to be the most menacing to Armando and Diego’s men too. As we inch closer, I purposely step on a twig and snap it. It’s loud enough that some of the men heard it.

I see them walking in our direction. ‘Wait for my signal every one.’

The men come closer and I see one pull a gun from his back. These guys are awful. Hunting a two women and they are using guns. Heartless bastards. I growl loudly and the men stop looking into the trees.

I come out of the woods slowly and baring my teeth as I growl. Isaiah, Jonah and three of the warriors are following my command to advance forward like predators looking for their next meal.

“Please, we have guns. Start putting them down.”

I howl at the threat of gun fire and the remaining warriors appear from the woods. They are snarling viciously and snapping their jaws. They are giving maximum fear factor to these assholes.

We run back to the pack because I want to hold my mate right now and reassure her the t is gone. As we make our way back to the pack, I see Raul and Mia standing outside of the p hospital.

I pull shift and walk up to them. Raul hands me a pair of shorts. “Thanks.” I said.

“Is everything okay, Aiden?” Raul asks.

“Yeah. Armando and Diego’s men were at the trap site. We scared them off.” I said with a smirk. “It was a lot of fun.”

Mia and Raul look at each other, and then look at me. “What?” I ask.

Raul looks like he is carefully choosing his words, “I know my brother, Aiden. This will not deter him. It will make him that much more determined.”
