“Dr. Higslee will be here with his apprentice in about twenty minutes. Come with me to greet him at the pack house.” I said as I opened the door and gestured her to come with me.

“Sure. I’m excited to meet him!” She said, smiling and happier than she has ever been since arriving.

I mind linked Aiden that Dr. Higslee will be here in twenty minutes and I’m making my way to the pack house. I also let him know about the apprentice. “I’m Alpha Luca Hudson of Crossfang Pack. I’m also, Dr. Higslee’s Alpha and his apprentice.” He said and never taking his eyes off my niece.

I raise an eyebrow at Dr. Higslee. “You failed to mention that detail, old friend.” I said shaking

his hand.

“Did I?” He replied. “I’m sorry for my oversight. But I do believe I have lost my apprentice for this visit now.” He said, smiling.

“Hardly. Mia is my niece and she wants to be a doctor. She has a great mind for it. I hope you will be able to make some time to talk to her as well. I guess I don’t need to convince Alpha Luca if he would be willing to accept my niece into Crossfang for medical studies, now.” I said smiling.

“No. She will come with us when our work here is done.” Alpha Luca said, still not taking his eyes off Mia.

Thalia comes up to Aiden and grabs his arm. “Aiden, let them introduce themselves, properly. This is Mia’s mate.”
