Isaiah POV

After everything was signed, we all went our separate ways. Aiden, Thalia, Kaia, and I went out to eat for lunch to celebrate.

“It sucks that you just became my beta and now you are leaving, girl,” Thalia said to Kaia.

Kaia laughed, “Well, at least I’m leaving for a good reason.”

“Have you thought about who is going to be your new beta?” I asked Aiden. We discussed Sinclair, but we both agree that she is more focused on other things.

“Maybe we can approach, Sinclair? After all, she just found her mother. Maybe after that chapter is closed, she would consider it? I could hold it open for her for a while,” Aiden said.

“Not a bad idea. I mean, if she says no, then we need a backup plan,” I said.

“What about you? You’re going to need to review everyone at Ironclaw for your ranked members, right?” Thalia asked.

“Yeah, but I also believe there is a mole based on what Max said,” I replied.

Aiden’s expression turned serious, “If you need help flushing out the mole, let me know.”

“Do you think this mole could have been playing both sides? All to set up Paul?” Thalia asked.

Kaia looked at Thalia, “What do you mean?”

“What if the person communicating to your dad was making it seem like he really was Max, and your dad didn’t know. He seemed adamant about you getting that fifteen percent from what you said. To me, it sounds like someone was feeding your dad negative information about Paul. Perhaps you should ask him about it or look into his emails,” Thalia suggested. 1

Aiden also spoke up, “You said the guy who tried to kill you said it was your dad who sent him. Your dad denies it, and we suspect that he could have been sent by Paul or the mole?”

Kaia and I looked at each other. “We didn’t even realize there was a mole until now, but it’s plausible. Though I’m concerned about who has that kind of reach within Ironclaw? Who is helping that person, and what is the motive?” I asked.

“It sounds like you have a lot of cleaning up to do at your pack when you get there, bro,” Aiden said.

I pulled her to me and growled playfully, “Never.”

I kissed her quickly but deeply and left her dazed. She started folding clothes while I took other things to the truck. When I get back, I see her carrying two large suitcases down the stairs.

I rushed over to her and took the suitcases. “You shouldn’t be carrying heavy things. You pack it up, I will carry it out, trouble. I’ll ask the guards to help me.”

She smiled and kissed me quickly as she went back upstairs.

“Man, you are stupid over her,” I turned around to see Adrian and Amber.

“Man! What a surprise! What the hell are you doing here?!”

“Surprise visit. Amber and I wanted some time to see everyone,” He smiled.

I set the suitcases down and hugged them both. “Help me load these, bro.”

“Why are you packing up?” He asked.

“Moving to Ironclaw,” I said.

“No idea. Aiden and I have been talking about it. We were thinking about Sinclair, but we don’t think she would want the position. We are going to offer it anyway and see what she says.”
