His plump mate (Rebel and Austin) by Buchanan novel Chapter 485

Chapter 485

Mystery POV

Paul lost everything. That’s all I care about. Having a new Alpha and Luna, and that Luna is his ex-wife, is just the cherry on top. I’m glad she survived, looking at the turn of events that have unfolded in recent days.

I don’t feel bad for framing her father. He was a nasty piece of work and looked at dollar signs, rather than his daughter’s happiness. He can continue to rot in prison for all I care.

I pat the pocket on my shirt. I think about the past. Tears form in my eyes. Stripping Paul of everything is just the beginning. I won’t rest until he is banished from the pack and forced to live out the rest of his days as a rogue. I have them on standby, too.

The only way to kill bastards like him is to dismantle him. First, strip him of his power and status. Then bankrupt him. After that, take the one thing he cares most about, the pack. I honestly didn’t think he was smart enough to think about putting it in trust, but he was, and if it wasn’t for the divine intervention of the Moon Goddess, he probably would still be the alpha.

I’m glad for Alpha Isaiah and Luna Kaia. I will hang my hat on the revenge and let things play out naturally now. I covered my tracks, so I’m not worried about being caught. Even if I am, I know my mission is complete.

Sheri POV

“I like the new Luna. She seems kind, but also, she doesn’t seem to play around with people about things she finds serious. Like getting to the truth,” I said.

“You’re too trusting,” Mackenzie tells me.

“I have a good feeling about her, Mack.”

“You always want to believe the good in people. People suck, though, Sheri.”

“Do you think I suck?”

She chuckled, “You suck at games. So yes, you suck too.”

I laughed and stuck my tongue out at her. “Seriously, Luna Rebel really does come from Ironclaw. I feel like everything is coming full circle for Blackstone and Ironclaw. Don’t you think?”

“Yeah. I’ve always heard that she came from here, but she wasn’t on any of the registries here.”

“Do you think we could ask Alpha Isaiah to bring his parents here so we can meet them? She’s been here a couple of times, but we never got to talk to her.”

“Ask and find out. Worst he can say is ‘no,’ right?” Mack says.

“Ask me what?” We hear a voice behind us and see that Alpha Isaiah is standing there.

I feel my cheeks warm I start stammering. “Alpha…uh… Mack and I were just talking about your mom… and um…we know she has been here a few times…but we um… we never get to talk to her…”

Alpha smiles and cuts me off, “Let me guess. You want to talk to her?”

I feel my cheeks heat again, and he laughs. “Goddess, you are suffering to ask me a simple question. The short answer is yes. I will ask them to come here.”

I smiled brightly and nudged Mack, “See? Told you!”

“Told her what?” He asked.

“You and Luna are nicer than Alpha Paul.”

I hear a snarl from behind Alpha. He turns around, and Gamma John charges in towards me. “What insolence are you saying about Alpha Paul?”

Gamma John raises his hand to hit me, but it’s caught by Alpha Isaiah. He growls in a deathly low tone.

“I do not tolerate the abuse of women or pups. Who the fuck are you?”

Gamma John growled, “I’m Gamma John. Who the fuck are you?!”

“What the fuck is going on in this pack? Do pups train?”

“Only pups of the ranked team or warriors. Omegas don’t train, Alpha Paul said it was a waste of time and resources.”

“That stops, starting now. Anyone who wants to train can train. It doesn’t mean you are a warrior, but it means that you can grow stronger. All pups should be in training as well. I will talk to the lead warrior. Do you know the lead warrior?”

I cocked my head, “Lead warrior?”

“For fuck’s sake,” Alpha said with a sigh.

Just then, one of the guards came in, “Alpha, John has been placed in the dungeons.”

“Thank you. What is your name, warrior?”

“Niall, Alpha.”

“Niall, who is the lead warrior?”

“We don’t have one, Alpha. Alpha Paul didn’t want to give that title to anyone. He said he expected all of us to act like lead warriors.”

“That will be changing, too. After the Alpha and Luna Ceremonies, I will start restructuring this pack. Spread the word to the warriors, please.”

Niall hit his chest in respect, “Yes, Alpha.” Then he turned and left with a small grin on his face.

“Ladies, please continue your functions. I need to call in for backup after everything I’ve found out.”

He turned and left, and all the girls jumped with excitement. We finally have a decent Alpha. Thank the Moon Goddess.
