Chapter 489
Aric POV
I finished running patrols. I was on my way to the pack house when one of the warriors told me that there was a huge fight breaking out in the dining hall. Fuck. I sighed. The warriors who kiss Paul’s ass are probably starting trouble. Paul was always giving them an out whenever they did shit any respectable pack would condemn.
I ran to the pack house, and by the time I entered the dining hall, everything looked like it was in disarray. Every pro-Paul warrior is lying on the ground. There are people standing in the middle, and I only recognize two of them. Alpha Isaiah and Luna Kaia are standing in the middle. Alpha Isaiah is standing in the middle and holding up Micah.
“How is that ‘women are weak’ statement working for you, Micah?” He snarled.
I walked in, and Niall looked at me. “Beta Aric, you missed the show. Most entertaining breakfast we
have had in a while.”
Alpha Isaiah snapped his head over to me and then looked at Niall.
“Niall, take this asshole to the dungeon. Take two guards with you. Take Kyle while you’re at it,” he said.
“Yes, Alpha.”
Four warriors stepped up and grabbed Kyle and Micah. They need medical attention, but it doesn’t appear that Alpha Isaiah cares.
“Guards, as for the rest of these assholes, they do not represent the warriors of Ironclaw any further. Take them to the pack hospital for medical attention. Once they are patched up, they are on grass and toilet duty. If they give you problems, let me know immediately.”
“Yes, Alpha!”
All the warriors start removing Paul’s boys, and honestly, I’m glad. I walked over to Alpha Isaiah and sucked in a breath. Standing beside Luna Kaia is another woman about the same age. She has brown hair, light freckles, glasses and looks kind of nerdy. But that isn’t what has me sucking in a breath. She looks like my sister Iris. 1
“Iris?” I said.
Luna Kaia looks at me and elbows the woman beside her. She looks like my sister. I know she can’t be, because my sister was killed by rogues, but I’m staring at my sister. I walked over to her, and I wanted to hug her, but I stopped, balled my fists, and held myself back. I feel tears threatening to fall.
She looks at me, “I’m not Iris. My name is Sinclair.”
“Sinclair,” I said, trying to regain my composure, “I’m sorry. You look exactly like someone I used to know. I didn’t mean to startle you.”
“Who’s Iris?” Luna Kaia asked.
“Luna, my apologies to you and Alpha Isaiah. I’m Beta Aric. I just finished running patrols. One of the warriors told me that there was a fight in the dining hall. I didn’t realize the warriors were fighting you both.” I said, looking at both of them and then drawing my eyes back to Sinclair.
Alpha Isaiah extends his hand to me, “Nice to meet you, beta.”
“Aric, please,” I respond.
“Sooo, who is Iris?” Luna asked again.
“I’m sorry, Iris is my late sister. Sinclair looks identical to my late sister.”
Sinclair’s eyes softened. “I’m sorry about your sister.”
“Are you moving here too?”
