Thalia POV
Aiden let me fight, but won’t let me help clean up. I chuckled lightly but enjoyed the view of his fantastic ass as he picked up rogue after rogue.
‘Keep thinking those thoughts, Mojito.’
I smiled. ‘Well, you do have a fantastic ass. I always love squeezing those cheeks.’
He growled playfully over the mind link, then pushed desire through our bond. I love feeling that in our bond.
‘You’re almost due. You and Kaia both. You shouldn’t do anything to hurt yourself, Mojito. In fact, why don’t you go inside and talk to Kaia about the tool? We can arrange a time for them to come to the pack and talk to Damon and Declan.’
‘Great idea. Better than standing around. Even if I am enjoying the view, guapo.’
He growled playfully again, and then I closed the link with a smile. I walked over to the pack house, and the aroma of rotisserie chicken hit me, and I followed it to the kitchen. Our sons sure do love meat.
When I get to the kitchen, I see Kaia helping the omegas, even though they are telling her she should rest. I smiled, amused at the interaction. I go through the same thing at home.
“Are you sure you are not carrying twins, Kaia?” I asked loudly.
Kaia put down the knife and came over to give me a hug. “I’m sure. Are you okay?” She asked. Clearly, she means the attack I just fought in.
“Yes. I’m fine. Hungry. The boys could smell the rotisserie chicken.” I chuckled and then added, “Aiden sent me inside to continue talking to you about the tool.”
She looked at the omegas, and they looked relieved that I’m taking their Luna out of the kitchen. Then one of them brought each of us a plate of sandwiches. They work quickly around here.
Kaia smiles and thanks the omega. “Let’s go to the dining hall and take a seat. We can talk about the tool there.”
We went to the dining room and sat. As we ate our sandwiches, we discussed the tool. Kaia was listening intently.
“Damon and Declan think they may have a solution for the tools programming,” I said. It would require a digital component to control the properties' parameters. If effective, then a full blast would drain the gemstone of its value. At minimal blast, it would wear down slowly.”
“It would also change efficacy, Thalia. Do they have any plans drawn up?” Kaia asked.
“Some preliminary plans, yes. They are hitting roadblocks, though,” I said. “We also need stable material to control the blast. Ironclaw is known for its alloys. Perhaps one of those will do.”
“We have tungsten. It’s stronger than titanium. It could be enough for a job like this, but I need to see plans. Sinclair can work on the digital component. I can get with our alloy workers to see about the crafting of the tool,” Kaia said.
Just then, Sinclair walked in. She looks exhausted. She has been working for hours with the warriors, cleaning up the mess and carnage outside. She is still dirty, but she came in just to let us know that everything is cleaned up and the bonfires are going.
“Sinclair, you look exhausted. Why don’t you go shower and rest until dinner?” Kaia said.
