His plump mate (Rebel and Austin) by Buchanan novel Chapter 543

Isaiah POV

“Well?” I said.

The warriors are looking around and keeping quiet. They hear the word hunter and forget that Aric is a hell of a good Beta. He also fought with us and held his own, not to mention saved a bunch of their asses.

One warrior said, “Aren’t you worried he could turn on us, Alpha?”

I feel irritation rising. I also see Sinclair’s eyes dimming. I guess she assumed something like this would happen.

“Let me be clear,” I started, “a bunch of your asses were saved by the very man you want me to replace. He fought with us and protected this pack and its pack members. Aric is one hell of a beta, and I will not judge him based on the sins of his asshole father. Would you have tried to boot out Sinclair? She set up the security plans. We weren’t finished setting them up either, because of the traitors within the warriors. There were more traitors among your ranks. Do not question my judgement about Aric or Sinclair. If you do, find another fucking pack.”

Sinclair’s mouth was opened in shock. Aiden and Dad started clapping and stood up. Kaia then stood up and spoke, “Let me be clear too,” she said. “Sinclair is like a sister to me. I was born human and turned by Isaiah. Sinclair has saved my life countless times. You all have observed us together. You all have interacted with her. You all were singing Beta Aric’s praises before today. Now, at hearing about his bullshit sperm donor, you want to judge him? Shame on all of you.”

I put my arm around her waist. “So to answer your question, Aric is my beta and will continue to be the beta of Ironclaw. In the coming weeks, I will be recruiting new warriors. I will be vetting out every person coming here with a dream of bettering their lives. If I start seeing hostility towards my ranked members, understand, it will not be tolerated, and you will find yourself looking for a new pack. Understood?” I asked.

“Yes, Alpha.” They all said.

Kaia walked over to Sinclair and brought her to our table. When she sat down, she looked at both of us. “Thank you, both.”

I smiled. “You’re one of us, Sinclair.”

Adrian POV

I’m waiting to hear about Amber. She has been in surgery for hours. I’m recalling everything that bastard said. He manipulated and used her. She also betrayed me and lied to me. She has been denying me fatherhood because of Ronan’s threats on my life. She has been sleeping with him and drinking potions, so I wouldn’t find out.

All those times that she went out all day and said she was out clearing her mind, she was with him. I’m sure of it. It’s not like she can talk about it now anyway. This was why he cursed her.

‘Reject her.’ Thor said.

‘I know I should, but she is weak. I don’t want to kill her,’ I said.

“After you get cleaned up. She just had surgery. Wounds are fresh. With silver damage and incision sites, you could infect her with the grime. Go, shower, get some food in you and then come back. I’ll have an extra bed put in there for you, to sleep overnight if you like.”

I don’t even know how I got out of the hospital. I don’t remember walking into the pack house. I don’t remember showering. I don’t remember getting to the dining room either. But when I entered, everyone stopped and looked at me.

Isaiah and Aiden were the first to approach me. “How’s Amber?” Aiden asked.

I told them what the doctor said. I told them that I was going back to the hospital after I had eaten. As I’m walking towards the table, I see Sinclair. Fury rises in me, and I lunged for her. I grabbed her by the neck.

“Tell me where to find Ronan, Sinclair!” I snarled.

Her face is turning blue, and her eyes are wide but with shock, not fear, and it infuriates me more. I lift her off the ground, and Isaiah, Aiden and my dad are trying to get me to let go.

Sinclair, being Sinclair, however, pulled her gun from behind her and pointed it at my forehead. I set her back down and let go.

She starts breathing in air, but doesn’t lower her gun or take her eyes off me. “Touch me again, Adrian, and I won’t care that you are a Willis. I will kill you where you stand. You’re angry. I get it. So am I. Until today, I didn’t even know what Ronan looked like. I have no idea how to locate him, and I sure as hell want nothing to do with him, other than to put a bullet between his fucking eyes.”
