Chapter 13-2

As I was about to head inside, I happened to look to my right and see an SUV getting ready to pull out from the back of the building. I saw my Effie girl in the front seat and could tell that there were two guys in the car with her. They didn’t look like the guys that were in some of the zoo pictures with her. I know that those guys are gay and are married to each other. These guys I have no clue about, and I don’t like them
being with my girl, and most likely, my son.
I turned around and headed to my SUV and told my best friend and bodyguard, Oliver, to follow them discreetly. He started the car and headed out behind them. We followed them through town, and they led us to an aquarium. I watched them get out of the car and get my baby boy out and loaded up into the
stroller.
After we watched them walk inside, we headed in behind them. I wanted to find out who these guys were
and make sure that they were not a threat to my girl and son. Oliver took pictures of them and sent them to my IT guy. It didn’t take long, and I had everything that I needed to know about them. They are my Effie girl’s brothers.
I never got to meet them when she lived in Russia. They were in college and never even tried to come and
visit. She said that she talked to them on the phone and would see them when she visited with her dad.
They hated their mom and refused to visit with her, especially after she took Effie from their dad. They
also hated her new boyfriend turned husband. Because he broke up their family.
I can’t say that I blame them for that; he always was a creepy bastard. He wanted to be farther up the
chain of command than what he was. And when he tried to get close to Dad, and that didn’t work, he
started to work with our enemy. He wanted dad out of the way so that he could take over. But he couldn’t
run a fast food store, so there’s no way that he could lead the Russian mafia.
Looking through the information about Effie’s brothers, I can see that they visit with her a few times a month. They use the company that Archie and their dad work for as an excuse to come down here and see her. That’s how they have been hiding her from me all of this time. I texted my IT guy back and told him to hide that information so that no one else could find it. I don’t want her mom or stepdad to find her.
At least not until she’s back with me where she belongs. And then I can protect her.
We follow them around the aquarium discreetly and watch as my son claps and squeals at all of the different animals. He would probably love to have an aquarium of fish at home. I just bought an enormous mansion on a gigantic piece of property outside of town. It’s around a thousand acres, with plenty of space. The sale just went through, and it is officially mine. It needs a lot of work done to it, and while it’s being renovated, I think that I’ll have a big aquarium put in for him.
We stay a little longer, and before we leave, I grab a pamphlet about the aquarium and all that they had to offer. We also stopped by the gift shop so that I could pick something up for my nephew. I saw the dolphin stuff and grabbed him a stuff, a bottle, and a blanket. He’s named after dolphins that saved my sister when she was pregnant for him. So now everyone is always buying him dolphin stuff. I also grabbed him a few colorful stuffies that were fish. I know that he would love them. I couldn’t wait until he was older so that I

could bring him here and to the zoo with my son.

Before we left, we overheard Effie and her brothers talking about going to the zoo tomorrow. I may not be able to go with them, but I had planned ongoing and watching from afar. I would eventually catch Effie and get her to sit and listen to me and let me explain. But for now, I would watch over my family from afar.
We left and headed home, and I contacted the company that would be doing the renovations on my
house. Since it was my brother–in–law’s company, they easily agreed to the changes that I wanted to make
and to the aquarium. I decided where I wanted it, and they would design it and bring it to me to look at. I wanted a huge one for my boy and any future kids. I loved animals as well and had always had a small aquarium. Now I could get the big one that I always wanted.
Once I had my family living with me, then I could start getting the animals that I always wanted. Since the
property that I got is outside of town and is huge, I can get whatever animals that my family wants, within
reason, of course. I’d love to have a dog or two, maybe a cat. I may even get a few horses. I’ll decide what
else after I have Effie back with me.
The next day, we sit outside of the bakery and wait for them to leave to head to the zoo. Today, there is a
girl with them. I recognize her as Dove, Effie’s best friend and author. We follow them to a zoo that’s
outside of our town. From what I overheard, they had been to the one in town a few weeks ago. So they
decided to go to the one a little ways away.
We follow them around, and I watch as my boy has a blast with the different animals. He fed a giraffe,
tried to roar like the lions, and was even meowing at all of the cats. I loved getting to watch how excited
that he was over it, even if I felt a bit like a stocker. But if that’s the only way that I get to see my family
until Effie will talk to me, then so be it.
I’ll do whatever I have to do to make sure that they are safe and protected. And eventually, I’ll get her to
talk to me. We spend a few hours walking around the zoo and then stop at the gift shop before leaving. I don’t want her to spot me watching them. But I have guards on her who will let me know when she is
safely back at home.
She may not want me now, but once she lets me explain things to her, she’ll understand. I will have my family back with me. One way or another, Effie will be back in my arms, and I’ll finally get to be around my
boy. I’ve already lost over a year with him, not to mention the pregnancy. I refuse to lose any more time with either of them. Watch out baby, because I’m coming for you.
