When we got in there, the manager who always helps me was out front and waiting. I had sent her a text when we were on the way so that she could help me. She’s always been the one to do the deposits for me for the bakery. She’s a nice older lady who has been working here for years and knows what she’s doing. She’s also very trustworthy and won’t try to stiff me.

It didn’t take her long to get the deposit done and give me back my receipts for my records. When I get

back to the bakery, I’d go to the office and finish up the paperwork with them. When we were done, we

headed out to the SUV. “It’s almost lunchtime. Do you want to stop somewhere and get something to eat?

That way, you don’t have to worry about cooking,” Leandro asked me.

“Yeah, that sounds good, actually. I’d love to have a burger with the works and cheese sticks, broccoli

cheese bits with bacon in them, french fries, and onion rings. And nuggets for the little nugget. He usually

eats most of my fries and part of my cheese sticks as well,” I told him. “Ok, baby. We’ll stop and get you

some food and then get you back to the bakery. I should be done with work around five tonight unless Dad

needs me later. I’ll stop on my way home to pick you both up. You can leave the base in my car unless you

think that you’ll need it,” he said.

“I’ll take it with me. You never know when something’s going to come up, and I’d need it. It only takes a

minute to install it and take it back out, so it’s no problem. And we’ll be ready. I don’t have much left to do

at the bakery since I’ve been there since early morning. Like three am early. I just have to finish up some

paperwork, and then I’m done for the day. I’ll be heading upstairs with Veer to eat and then take a nap when he does. I’ll give you my number so that you can text me when you’re on your way. You can pull

around to the back of the building and park when you pick us up,” I told them.

“Ok, baby. I’ll text you so you know when I’m coming to get you. Let’s get you back to the bakery so that

you can finish up with work and then take a nap. I’m sure that you need it after being up for so long,” he

said. I nodded my head and then got into the SUV after he opened the car door for me.

We stopped and got lunch for us all, plus extra for Leandro’s dad and brothers. As well as for the other

guards. We split the food up for all of us. Alena and I put the guys food into bags, she put hers in a bag. And then we put mine and Veer’s in another bag. When we got to the bakery, Leandro helped me out of the

car. After Alena kissed Veer and told me she’d see us tonight, I got him and the car set base out of the car.

Leandro took Veer and the base from me, and I grabbed the diaper bag and our food. We walked into the

bakery, and Leandro followed me back to the office. After I set the food and diaper bag down, I took Veer

out of his car seat. Leandro took him and gave him a hug and a kiss before putting him in his pack–in–play.

Then he pulled me to him and hugged me, then gave me a kiss. It was so fast that I didn’t have a chance to pull back from him. But I did scowl at him. “I’ll text you later, baby, and let you know when I’ll be here. Finish up with your work and then go eat lunch and take a nap with our boy. I’ll see you tonight, ok?” he

said.

“Ok, I’ll see you tonight. Have a good day at work,” I told him. “You too, baby,” he said. He kissed me on the

forehead, kissed Veer again on his, and then headed out the door. I was so screwed with it came to him. I

was still very much in love with him, and I didn’t see that changing at all.

Once he was gone, I finished working on the paperwork and got the rest of it done. I added the deposit in my accounting app on my computer, and then I was done. I gathered up Veer and all of our stuff, and after checking in with the girls, I headed upstairs. I set the car seat, base, and diaper bag by the door. And then

headed to the kitchen.

I put Veer in his highchair and then cut up his nuggets, some fries, and cheese sticks and put them on his tray. After I made him a sippy cup and gave it to him, I sat down to eat my food. When we were done, I put

Veer in his pack–in–play and put a cartoon on. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs was on, so I put it on for us
