Mom had sent the butler that we have here to tell us that River and her family had just pulled in. So we

headed to the living room with dad and the boys arguing over who was carrying Veer. In the end, Dad won since he was already carrying him. He was loving the fact that we had another baby boy in the family. I

know that he’d love some granddaughters as well. I may have to hurry up and get on that. I want to watch

my woman grow with our child and then be there to watch them being born, since I missed it all with Veer.

When we got to the entryway, Mom and Effie were coming out of the living room. When they looked in our

direction, Effie’s face lit up at seeing my brothers. She was close to all of them when she lived in Russia, especially Ivan and Franco, since they were close in age. All of my brothers stepped up to her and gave her big hugs. They also told her how much they all missed her. And they were happy to have her and their

nephew back in the family.

She tried to tell them that she wasn’t with me, but they know as well as I do that she will be. It’s only a

matter of time before she’s back in my arms. For now, though, I will bide my time and slowly work my way back into her heart. I will get her and our son back with me where they belong, and I’ll never let them away

from me again.

Once she was done hugging them all, I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her to me. I could hear the doors on the SUV opening and closing in the driveway, so I knew that my sister would be in here soon. As we waited for them to come in, I stood with a smile on my face as I watched mom and dad. They were both cooing and talking to Veer, and he was loving it. His little giggles could make the grumpiest man smile. They actually did because my brother Santino was actually smiling a little bit. And lately, he’s been a grumpy bastard. I plan to corner him in a few days and find out what’s going on with him.

When River, her guys, and her son finally came in the door, Mom stepped over to take baby Fin away from Zeus. Then she looked back at Dad and smirked at him. “You may hold my new grandson hostage from me, but I have my little Fin to love on,” she said, then blew a raspberry at him. We all started laughing at her, and River looked around and noticed Dad holding Veer. She got a puzzled look on her face as she said, “Umm, what new grandson? What am I missing?”

As she and her guys looked around the room, I watched as Zeus saw Veer, and his face lit up with recognition. His head started to move a little faster, and when he saw Effie, I could really see the recognition on his face. I cleared my throat and said, “Sis, guys, I’d like for you all to meet my Effie girl. You know her as Rose, the owner of the bakery. But we know her as Effie. She’s my missing girlfriend that took off two years ago. When you and mom went into the bakery for the first time, mom said that she looked like our Effie girl. Well, with the exception of the hair and eyes. And the next time that she went back, she said that she really thought that Rose was our missing girl. When I finally got the chance to go to the bakery, I knew that it was her, but she argued with me over it. We all went today and finally found out for sure that it was my girl.
