How to Train Your Ex-Billionaire novel Chapter 192

Winifred was speechless. “Think whatever you want. If that’s what you want to believe, there’s nothing I can do. But Ms. Zade, even if there was something between me and Steven, what right do you have to question me? You and he already broke up.”

“Finally showing your true colors,” Rena sneered. “And you said there was nothing between you. I see you’re just a seductress.”

Winifred’s face darkened. “Who are you calling a seductress? Can’t you understand plain English? I said even if.”

“What do you mean?” Rena shot up abruptly, her voice shrill. “Do you think I’m crazy too? He thinks I’m crazy, everyone believes I’m crazy. Let me tell you, I’m not crazy, you’re the ones who are crazy!”

Winifred was frightened by her frenzied state and tried to calm her down. “Ms. Zade, I never said you were crazy. Please, calm down.”

“I don’t need your fake kindness,” Rena said, pointing a finger at her. “You home-wrecker, I don’t need your pity. Let me tell you, Steven and I are not broken up. He wants to break up with me? In his dreams! If he sets his sights on someone, I’ll destroy them!”

With that, she suddenly grabbed the pot of scalding stew from the table and hurled it at Winifred.

Molly screamed, “Winifred, look out!”

Yvan had grown worried when Rena stood up and started yelling. He was just about to tell Fitch to go over and “accidentally” bump into her to help Winifred.

But just as he spoke, he saw Rena throw the stew.

Without a second thought, Yvan lunged forward.

As the hot liquid flew toward her, Winifred had no time to react, only instinctively shielding her face with her arms.

Suddenly, someone leaped in front of her, pulling her into an embrace and taking the full force of the scalding stew.

Winifred froze, recognizing the familiar scent on him.

The man let out a pained grunt. Trembling, Winifred lifted her head and saw the face that so often appeared in her dreams.

“Yvan…”

Molly panicked. “Winifred, what do we do? Fitch, call an ambulance!”

Fitch hastily pulled out his phone and dialed 911.

Yvan tried to comfort Winifred. “Winifred, I’m fine…”

“Just shut up!” Winifred snapped.

As she continued to pour water on his back, she asked, “Does anyone have scissors? Get me a pair of scissors, quick.”

A waiter quickly handed her a pair. Winifred cut away Yvan’s shirt, removing the fabric before continuing to pour water on his back.

It wasn't until the ambulance arrived and Yvan was loaded inside that Winifred realized her legs had given out, and she collapsed onto the floor.
