How to Train Your Ex-Billionaire novel Chapter 191

A steaming seafood stew arrived at the table, its aroma filling the air.

Winifred ladled a small bowl for Molly and herself. Taking a satisfying sip, she felt that this was the taste of pure bliss.

Yvan had ordered the same dish as Winifred, making it feel as if he were eating at the same table with her.

Fitch served him a bowl of the stew. “Mr. Brown, have a taste.”

Yvan watched Winifred across the way, her face a picture of contentment, and couldn't help but pick up his spoon and try a bite.

It was actually quite good.

“Fitch, what do you think of this place?” he asked suddenly.

“It’s great. It has a real, down-to-earth vibe,” Fitch said, heartily enjoying his own bowl of seafood stew.

A down-to-earth vibe?

Yvan glanced around. The place was bustling with people from all walks of life, their glasses clinking as they chatted and laughed. Was this the kind of vibrant atmosphere Winifred liked?

Rena spotted Winifred by chance.

After a bitter argument with Steven, she had gone out drinking to soothe her misery. Now, thoroughly drunk, she happened to be passing by.

She had been meaning to find Winifred and give her a warning but hadn't found the opportunity.

Seeing her now, she threw caution to the wind and staggered over.

“Winifred? What a coincidence,” Rena said, slumping into the seat next to her.

Winifred paused. “You are…”

Molly recognized Rena instantly and kicked Winifred under the table, trying to catch her eye.

But Winifred didn’t understand. She had met Rena seven years ago, but after all this time, she didn't recognize her right away.

“I’m Rena, Steven’s ex-girlfriend.” Rena sneered at her. “I wonder if Steven has ever mentioned me to you?”

But now, she had changed a lot. She still looked young and beautiful. No wonder Steven had fallen for her.

A flicker of jealousy ignited in Rena’s heart. “Are you and Steven dating?”

“No,” Winifred replied.

“No?” Rena scoffed. “I’ve seen you in his car more than once.”

“He confessed his feelings to me, but I turned him down,” Winifred said honestly. “So don’t see me as your rival.”

Winifred thought it was simple—all she had to do was clarify the situation.

To her surprise, Rena’s expression suddenly twisted. “What do you mean by that?” she sneered. “Are you mocking me for being dumped by him?”

Winifred was stunned. “That’s not what I meant…”

“Not what you meant? I think it’s exactly what you meant,” Rena suddenly roared. “You think you’re so great, don’t you? He pursues you, and you reject him. But me? I tried to pursue him, but he showed no interest in me at all. You’re just showing off!”
