How to Train Your Ex-Billionaire novel Chapter 246

“I’ll exercise some restraint from now on.”

“I don’t believe you. Tonight, you can sleep in your own place. Don’t sleep with me,” Winifred huffed. “Besides, that apartment of yours is just going to waste.”

“That’s Fitch’s rental, not mine,” Yvan said, wrapping his arms around her waist and burying his head in her stomach. “Fitch should be back soon. If you don’t take me in, I’ll be homeless.”

Winifred looked down at his head resting on her abdomen. “Yvan, didn’t you say your apartment was being renovated? What happened to it?”

“The landlord suddenly decided not to rent it out anymore.”

Winifred patted his head lightly. “Yvan, you’re such a liar.”

Yvan held her tighter, brazenly continuing, “Winifred, I want to move in with you. Can I?”

“No.”

“Please,” Yvan pleaded, lifting the hem of her shirt and kissing her stomach.

The sensation tickled her, and Winifred couldn’t help but laugh, trying to squirm away while swatting at him. “Yvan, what are you doing?”

Yvan’s large hand rested on her belly. “Winifred, we haven’t used any protection these last few times. You might get pregnant soon. I want to live with you so I can take good care of you.”

This time, he didn't want any mistakes. He wanted to be there for the entire journey.

Winifred’s heart stirred. “We’re not even married,” she said.

“Then will you marry me?” Yvan lifted his head from her lap and looked at her, his gaze unwavering.

He had planned to wait until the ring was finished before proposing, but in the heat of the moment, he couldn't help but ask.

Winifred paused. “Is this you proposing to me?”

“It is… and it isn’t. I just wanted to know what you think,” Yvan hesitated, deciding not to reveal his plan. It would ruin the surprise.

“Let’s talk about it later,” Winifred said, lowering her gaze. “We just got back together. Isn’t it a bit soon to be talking about marriage?”

“That’s different. A taste of success tends to spoil you for anything less.” Yvan caressed her hand. “Winifred, now that I’ve experienced the happiness of being with you, I can’t bear to be apart from you again.”

“You’ve gotten really smooth with your sweet talk,” Winifred said with a glare. “Fine. Seeing as you’re so devoted, I’ll agree.”

“Really?” Yvan’s eyes lit up.

“Yes, really,” Winifred said. “But you have to control yourself. Three times a week, max.”

“Okay, I promise. I’ll go get my things right now.”

Yvan immediately stood up.

“Hey! At least finish your dinner first.”

“I’ll eat after I move my stuff.” Yvan’s figure was already out the door. He couldn’t wait.

Winifred shook her head in amusement. Thinking about his reaction—like a kid who’d just been given candy, his eyes shining with light—she couldn't help but smile.
