Chapter 111 A Big Surprise
Lira’s POV:
Finished
I thought for a sec and said, “After school tomorrow afternoon, I’ll be free. I’ll head over to see you then.”
Chester perked up right away. “Perfect! I’ll send a driver to pick you and Virginia up then.”
The next afternoon, after school, Virginia and I hopped right into the Wilsons’ car.
As soon as Virginia got in, she gushed, “Lira, Grandpa told me you’re coming to our house today! You have no clue how happy my mom was-she bugged me all morning to get to school and bring you home.”
I felt a little sheepish and said, “I’ve been swamped lately. I promised to come see her, but I never got the chance.”
“It’s fine, I know you’re busy. I told her that too,” Virginia said with a smile.
The car pulled up to Wilson Manor in no time.
Brenda was already standing at the door, waiting for us.
Virginia and I just got out of the car when she rushed over, grabbed my hand, and smiled softly. “You girl, why haven’t you come to see me in ages?”
I smiled and apologized quickly. “Sorry. I’ve been so busy lately, so I never made it over.”
I still wasn’t used to Brenda’s warmth. Except for Enid from the Hidmoon Pack, most high-rank werewolves looked down on me-or even hated me-just because I was an Omega.
But my wolf spirits, Victoria and Lily, could smell it: the Wilson family was really nice to me- no hostility at all.
Thinking that, I relaxed and gave Brenda a hug.
Virginia linked arms with Brenda and pouted, “Mom, c’mon-I swear you forget your own daughter as soon as you see Lira.”
“You silly kid, getting jealous now.” Brenda tapped her forehead, smiling, and then turned to me. “I know you’re busy. After Four Seasons Group’s medicine came out, I took your advice and kept buying it. Now I feel way healthier-even my wolf spirit’s full of energy!
“I told all my friends about it too. Now they’re all regulars for Four Seasons’ medicine.

“A while back, when Four Seasons stopped selling the medicine, you won’t believe how worried they were. They kept coming to me, asking what was going on. Thank goodness it’s back on sale now.”
After she finished talking, I couldn’t help but ask quietly, “Mrs. Wilson, did you know you’re pregnant?”
As soon as I got out of the car, Victoria had smelled that Brenda was pregnant.
I guessed she didn’t know-Brenda had rushed over to me without thinking, not caring about the baby in her belly.
Sure enough, when I said that, Brenda froze.
