Right then, the secretary walked into the office and said politely, “Boss, some reporters are here to ask questions.”

“Tell them to get lost!” Rick roared, his wolf eyes flaring with anger.

That day, Blackpine Group’s stock dropped almost half its value.

The next day, a set of photos blew up Silverwhip Pack: the people in the photos were Rick and his sister Gladys, and they were way too close.

This huge scandal sent Blackpine Group’s stock crashing to the floor right away.

Blackpine Group lost a ton of assets–they took a massive hit. Shareholders were panicking, and the whole company was a mess.

Partners and investors swarmed Blackpine Group’s office building. The first–floor front desk was totally trashed by some angry male werewolves.

Right after that, Blackpine Group’s other businesses got called out for breaking the rules. Their buildings even had tons of bad materials.

And a video finished Blackpine Group off for good-

In the video, a guy said he was Rick’s secretary. He admitted Rick told him to start the scandal about Four Seasons Group–so he paid internet trolls to trash them.

Blackpine Group’s stock, which had just inched up a little, crashed again.

By this time, Travis had secretly bought 50% of Blackpine Group’s shares–he was in full control.

The board was already pushing him to sell his shares. But how could he? He’d already been kicked out of the Brewer family–now he was gonna lose Blackpine Group too.

Right then, the secretary walked in. “Mr. Brewer, Travis, the general manager from Four Seasons Group is here to see you.”

When Rick heard that name, his face turned pitch black. He snapped, “Travis? What the hell is he doing here now?”

The secretary was shaking like a leaf. “H–He’s here to buy the company.”

Rick blew a fuse. He yelled, “Tell him to get lost! Now! Even if Blackpine Group goes bankrupt, I’ll never sell it to Four Seasons!”

Rick hated Four Seasons more than anything. And he loathed Travis with every fiber of his being.

If Travis hadn’t tricked him into buying that useless land for a billion, Blackpine Group’s money wouldn’t have dried up.

Just as Rick was fuming, the office door got pushed open. Travis walked in with his people and smiled. “Mr. Brewer, long time no see since the auction.”

Looking at the smiling guy, Rick bared his sharp wolf fangs. “Mr. Bailey, bursting in uninvited- you really don’t respect me at all?”

Travis didn’t bat an eye. He was a high–rank werewolf too–even if they fought, Rick might not

win.

He strolled over, sat on the office sofa, crossed his legs, and said lazily, “My bad. I thought you’d be glad to see me. After all, not many people can help you right now.”

Rick smiled coldly. “Save your help. I’ll never sell Blackpine Group to Four Seasons.”

Travis saw Rick’s tough act coming–he didn’t get mad. He kept going. “Mr. Brewer, think hard. Even if you don’t sell now, when the stock crashes again, I’ll buy it from your directors for even less.

“And then you’ll get nothing.”

Rick glared at him with his wolf eyes, then turned to his assistant. “See him out.”
